Now that he realized what he is... Byleth is fucked.
Being a hybrid is extremely frowned upon. And to make things worse for him, he's a hybrid of a demon and a goddess so that's an automatic execution for him if the Demon King finds out. But would he kill him, knowing his Omegan sons mated the Alpha?
Probably not if he wanted to piss them odd.
But there's a chance, and he's not willing to take it. Because if anything, Byleth bets that the King will gladly kill him so he doesn't get the throne with his sons. For what reason, probably because of him being an Alpha and to him that would be disastrous. He probably wouldn't care of he's the only Alpha around if he chooses to smite him.
'Would I fight back if he tries to kill me? I wouldn't risk it...' Byleth thought to himself, while making his way over to the training grounds after he fully recovered from the injuries just yesterday. The Sword of the Creator is strapped on his back, but he hid it underneath his oversized cloak.
As he walks, no one would suspect to see it on his back. But if there was a strong current of wind blowing it aside hard enough, anyone watching his back would get a glimpse of it. A glowing red-orange sword, and they would raise eyebrows at it. Especially if they can sense the amount of power it radiates, so they would thing the Demon King awarded him with it.
Little did they know...
Luckily for him, the Training Ground is empty which is perfect for him to test out the Sword of the Creator. After sensing around the whole area to make sure he's truly alone, Byleth unstrapped the divine weapon from his back and held it up up within his right hand. He looks at it, feeling its power coursing through his hand that thrums against his digits. The heat that felt so unbearable to him. When he tightens his grip, it glows brighter.
Though his demon side was crawling, as though the mere sight of it frightens the demon side of him. Though his demon self fears it, he strangely doesn't fear the weapon as a whole of himself.
Was it because he was... a special case where only he has the privilege to hold it? Without a worry that the sword won't harm him?
A heavy thump in his chest made him hover his left hand over it. He knew that the crest stone within him reacted to the weapon. It was as if his goddess side, the side of him that slept for so long until he grasps onto the sword, was rejoiced at reclaiming its missing part. Well no shit, this sword was made out of the original goddess's bones.
'Still... looks very creepy...' Byleth thought as he stares at it, before he decided to take a swing at it. When he made a vertical slice, he was shocked to see that the blade had extended itself and lashed away the area in front of him like a whip. Where the tip of it hits made a large crack in the ground, and the noise the impact made was almost deafening.
"Holy shit, they weren't kidding about the sword being able to extend like a whip." Byleth said, was the sword retracts itself back into it's original state. He looks at it for a bit, then tried to swing the sword again, this time without it becoming a whip. Nope, it became a whip again and it slashed the left columns of the grounds.
"Motherfucker, act like a sword would ya?"
He spends the next 40 minutes trying to get it act like proper sword. Either he was being an idiot and overthinking this, or because of the fact this sword being different is what made it hard. Even though he thought it should be simple enough.
-
That became a mistake.
"Mom never said not to play with it like a toy... goddammit." Byleth cursed under his breath as he held onto his right side of the face with his hand. The Sword of the Creator strapped on his back again to be concealed, so that it wouldn't kill any demons that got too curious to try to hold it. Who knows how exactly does it kill a demon...
