Fluttering her eyes open Athena is welcomed by her alarm clock. She presses the button and just sits staring at the ceiling trying to rid herself of sleep.
She sits up from her bed and runs her hand through her hair stressing out about the dream. She didn't have a horrible dream like the ones before but it still confused her and she hates being confused
She walks to the bathroom and brushes her teeth and washes her face before thinking about the dream once more.
Athena wants to talk to someone about her dream right now but narrowing down the possibilities Bonnie is probably sleeping and Caroline it's probably busy with the pep rally. If you know things are only option is Elena so she walks to her room finally deciding to tell her about her dreams since she already told Bonnie and Caroline. Even though Caroline warned her about telling her she thinks Elena deserves to know because they're sisters and she trusts her
Athena knocks on the door and Elena opens wearing normal clothes and not her cheer uniform, "What do you want" Elena asks with a bored look
"I wanted to tell you something" Athena smiles lightly but Elena just stares
"Well, I don't" Elena is about to shut the door in her face but Athena stops it with her hand
"Please, I wanted to tell you something about the dream I had that you all woke up to" She pleads for Elena to understand
"You mean the day you were being dramatic and causing a scene?"
"W-What no I-" Athena gets cut off by Elena as she walks forward
"-Gosh you are so desperate for attention. Do you think you can get attention from my family because yours left you in the dust. This little act may fool Jenna and Jeremy but it won't fool me. How 'bout you go find your real family and stop messing with this one because you are not a Gilbert you some girl who my parents found on the streets and took pity on" Elena snaps before slamming the door in her face
Athena stays standing in the hall facing the door with watery eyes. She lets out a small whimper walking back to her room closing the door then leaning on it slowly sinking to the floor. She brings her knees to her chest and places her head in them crying softly
Kol watches her with sad eyes wanting nothing more than to comfort her, but he can't. And it's all his fault. If he and his best friend hadn't thought of making that dagger he wouldn't be in this god forsaken box. He would be here, with Athena and she would find out everything the easy way, but now they both are suffering for his mistake
