I see you here,
I see you there,
Walking on the street,
With a phone in your hand

With a destination in mind,
You pass by,
Only to turn back,
And look at me

Your eyes tune into mine,
As you make your way back,
Towards me,
Something else in your mind

You ask me my name,
I ask you yours,
And we begin,
The ceaseless heart-to-heart

I wanna ask you everything,
Even though you are just a random person,
Your eyes hold the stars,
I want to see shine

You told me stories,
About who,
Frightened you,
When you were just 4

I told you,
What makes my heart beat,
What my passion is,
What makes me ME

We go on for hours,
Oblivious about the outside world,
Just you and me,
In this serene bubble

As we unfold our past,
I can't help but wonder,
How each one of us,
Have lives as vivid and detailed as the other

I wish,
We could study each other a bit stronger,
Entwine our hands,
And stay in this bubble for a little longer

But our lives don't permit,
We can't recognise the charms,
Of talking to a passerby,
Asking them stories,
Stories of their past,
Stories of the future

We just go on with our lives,
As always,
Not halting,
To listen to the stories awaiting

We are also,
Just a passerby for someone,
But just wonder,
The magic of sonder

Summary-
This poem talks about 'sonder'. In case you don't know, sonder is the realisation that each person on this Earth has a life as complex, vivid and detailed as us. The word fascinated me, so I thought about writing a poem on it. Hope you like it. The main moto behind writing this poem is, "We should realise how important other's lives are and that even they have secrets. Knowing a person doesn't mean knowing their favourite color or their favourite band, but its deeper. It means knowing someone's secrets and keeping them safe."
