Every time you see me,
I'm a ball of sunshine,
Sending smiles to strangers,
'Am always the polite and cheerful one

But is it really so?
Is this really ME?
Or are these smiles just fake assurances to myself,
In hopes for everything to be fine?

Where did this once radiant, chirpy damsel disappear to?
And who is this pathetic, broken girl in the mirror?
With orbs brimming with tears,
And the smile fallen off of her lips

I wish I could say that she's a stranger,
Only if she wasn't the most familiar person ever,
The world broke and detested her,
But who is at fault?

Every night, she could sleep,
Only after making the disloyal and ignorant crowd believe,
That she was happy,
But it was far from reality

Is she really sad?
Or is this her choice?
Her favourite playlist is full of songs that make her cry,
What if these tears are the source of her pleasure?

No one understands her,
No one ever did,
And no one ever will,
Only she's been there for herself

She wants someone to listen to her silence,
Someone to see beyond her disguise,
She needs someone to see through the smile she's been faking all along,
But seems like everyone is happier with a PERFECT her

Is something wrong with her?
Even she doesn't know,
And faking that smile?
It's been her style

She beamed so widely,
People mistook her smile for a diamond,
But no one count how many tears she hid,
Behind that smile

Summary-
Keep smiling. Hehe.
Lolol just kidding don't throw shoes at me-

ACTUAL summary-
There's actually nothing much to say. The poem is pretty self-explanatory. It's just that we live in a world where everyone is smiling in front of us, but crying behind the mask. All of us need help but no one asks for it. Oh, and also, some of you must think why I've used "her" instead of "I". It's 'cause I'm not talking about me directly, but about my reflection. Everything that i upload here has been proofread twice hehe *tries to flex*
