it was december 2 and carmen had detention with ron who was currently mad at her for no reason at all.
carmen got up and put on her robes and makeup,
she went to the common room cause she had time to spare.
pansy was still asleep so carmen went down alone

no one was in the common room so carmen grabbed her book and started reading by the fire

"what are you doing up so early?"blaise said sitting on the couch

"i don't know i just decided to get up"

"suprised"

"whatever"

"so are you excited for detention...."

"no,rons pissed so it won't be fun"

"awe poor you"blaise snickered

carmen raised her eyebrows

"morning"pansy said cheerfully hoping off the stairs

"wanna go to breakfast" blaise said

"sure" carmen and pansy both replied

they got to the great hall and sat at the slytherin table. carmen looked up to see ron shoveling food into his mouth, miones nose in a book and harry talking to seamus

(time skip - last class of the day)

her last class was mcgonagall then snape with detention

"uhm where's the desks"carmen said walking into the class room

"i have no clue"pansy said

"heyyy carmen" george said putting his arm on carmen's shoulder

"hi georgie"

"today will be a little different. boys sit over here and girls on that wall" mcgonagall announced

george took his arm off of her and went to fred. carmen sat in the middle of hermione and ginny

"wonder what we are doing" ginny asked

"the yule ball has been a tradition of the triwizard tournament since inception. on christmas eve night we and our guest gather in the great hall for a night of well mannered frivolity the yule ball is first and foremost a dance" mcgonagall said

the room filled with oooo's and awee's
the girls all got giddy and excited,the boy's became the opposite

"ew" carmen whispered as she slumped down in her chair

"what" hermione asked

"i hate dances"carmen laughed

"i will not have you in the course of a single evening besmirching the name by behaving like a babbling bumbling band of baboons" mcgonagalll finished

"try saying that five times fast"george whispered to fred

"babbling bumbling band of baboons"they both went on

"yes?" he said becoming timid

"will you join me please" she said grabbing him

everyone started laughing except ron who was bright red

carmen couldn't help but burst out laughing gaining attention from the class
