"If it isn't the princess herself"
Cattleya looked up, her ears flattened and her brows slightly narrowed.
Her younger sister, who was still an Eevee stood at the end of her den, and by the looks of it, seemed to have been wondering through the pine woods again.
"Velvet, does mom know you were playing in the woods again?"
Shaking her head, the Eevee flashed her puffy tail across her from paws, raising her chin and knitting her brows
"How did you know?"
"When your covered in tree sap and twigs, it pretty easy to tell"
"Well mom don't care 'bout my decisions, she wants to know where you've been this whole time"
Cattleya pawed her gem, taking a seat and groaning "Why does she care? Last time I remembered she hated me, now all of a sudden she cares about my whereabouts?"
Velvet tilted her head, allowing her long ears to swiftly dangle against the side of her head "Where were you anyways? I mean, you just disappeared during a meeting"
Cattleya eyed her younger sister, god knows she couldn't tell her where she was, for all she knew she would go and rant about it to her mother
"Why, so you can just go tell mom everything?"
The eevee tilted her head in the opposite direction, allowing a huge smirk to tug at her lips "Whaa?"
Cattleya rolled her eyes, playing dumb was not what she wanted to hear from her, especially not in the mood she was currently feeling
"Look, just go play with some berries or something"
"Don't you think I would if I could?"
Cattleya rose a brow, what the hell did her sister mean? She meant it as a sarcastic joke but her sister seemed to take it to heart.
"The other Eevees said to stay away from the fruit"
"Why? The fruit is for all the Eevees and Espeons"
Velvet scoffed, fixing up her collar "Yeah well there big jerks so-- plus I wanted to see what happened to my big sister"
"You really wanted to know what happened to me?"
Velvet simply nodded, bobbing her head playfully to the left, and then to the right.
Cattleya lowered her ears and placed a paw against her younger sisters head, gently ruffling up her fur "They were teasing you again, weren't they?"
Velvet stayed silent this time. Sure she may be a brat, but she was Cattleya's sister, and even though she would rat on her, she would always be there for her. So if she was sad, Cattleya would do anything to help her
"Hey kid"
Velvet poked her head up, knitting both her brows
"How about we go to the meadow or something?"
"Seriously? Mom doesn't want me there"
Cattleya scoffed "Yeah well, she ain't exactly here to tell us to stay,"
"Ooh! Are we going to be rebellious now?" Velvet squealed, pawing the tip of Cattleya's nose
"You know it little sis, c'mon, best we get moving now hmm?" She brought her jaw down to her fur collar, carefully lifting the Eevee up with her teeth
"Don't bite me like the last time we went somewhere"
"Oh don't be a baby" Cattleya mumbled through the fur which Velvet just responded with her sticking out her tongue
Cattleya simply rolled her lavender ocular hues before stepping out of the den. She took a moment to see if anyone was around or at least, watching them before dashing off to the meadow, carefully holding the Eevee in between her jaw
