I recount when our story fell off the deep end
Our fights grew longer and our relationship had cheapened
I hated you and you hated when I'd kick you in my sleep
Our days would end in profanity as frustration would seep
I hated you and you loathed that I would tell my stupid jokes on stage
But you were a God to me
I loved you religiously
The angels sang when we held hands
Your voice was gospel
You were my heaven
