Yeah, so as you can see, the whole Thursday thing isn't working😹 I think the best I can do is try to update at least once a month, but I'll do my best to get updates out more frequently than that. I'm so sorry! I hope you enjoy this! Feel free to comment and tell me what you think!

I didn't wake up until five-something in the evening. Nobody bothered me, which I was grateful for, but I was still embarrassed that I had freaked out like that. I sighed. "It's all because of that stupid nightmare." I muttered as I sat up and stretched my arms out. I scanned my room for any potential axe murderers and noticed three plates sitting on my dresser with breakfast, lunch and dinner waiting on them. A small smile moved across my face. I knew who had put them there. I chuckled weakly and made a mental note to thank Patton. I slowly pulled myself out of bed and walked to the plates, examining their contents and deciding if I was hungry for whatever they held. Chocolate chip pancakes, a PB&J sandwich and mac'n'cheese. I looked them over for a moment before sliding the plate of mac'n'cheese off and heading back to bed. I sat down cross-legged and ate slowly, now tired from how much I had slept rather than how little. My face felt weird from all the dried tears and make-up, but I wanted to finish eating before I dealt with it. What was left of my ice water still sat on my nightstand, now melted and lukewarm. I sighed and eyed my plate, not sure if I wanted to eat the rest of my food. I had only eaten a few bites, but I just really wasn't hungry at the moment. I moved it to my nightstand and grabbed the cup of water, downing what was left and putting it back in its original spot. I allowed my eyes to wander for a moment until they landed on the slightly crunched box of tissues that still sat in my bed, most likely a victim of my tossing and turning. "Even when I'm half-dead I can't sleep peacefully." I muttered. I snagged the deformed box and pulled a few tissues out, setting it down beside me when I had what I needed. I wiped at the make-up, but it soon became clear that it wouldn't be coming off without water. "Well, looks like I'll have to get up after all." I muttered. I slid out of bed once again and shuddered at the feeling of the cold floor on my feet. I summoned a pair of warm black socks and eagerly put them on, sighing in contentment at the soft material that shielded my feet from the cold. "I could've sworn it wasn't this cold a minute ago." I mumbled to myself. A sudden thought flashed through my mind and I groaned again. "Great. The Duke is back." I grumbled as I began to trudge to the bathroom. Whenever the Duke is around, our place in Thomas' mind gets really cold. It's like it's rejecting him, like it doesn't want him around either. His and Janus' rooms in the hallway are more for show than anything. They haven't slept there in...well, ever. The only times I've seen them there is when they make their 'special appearances' in Thomas' videos, and even then they usually don't sleep there. They live in another part of Thomas' mind. A part that I try my hardest not to think about. I shuddered as the memory briefly passed through my mind. I shook my head and ran a hand through my hair, pushing the memory away and redirecting my focus to the mission at hand; getting this gunk off my face. I opened my door and did a double take at the sight of splintered wood, sighing and burying my face in my hands upon realizing they had to break it open to get to me. "Oooohhh my gosh, I'm such a nuisance." I groaned. My hands slid down my face and I continued my walk to the bathroom, trying my hardest to ignore Remus' very loud, very distinctive voice coming from the living room. He was spouting some crap about wanting to talk to Y/n. I shut and locked the door behind me, eager to clean myself up. I looked into the mirror and almost had a heart attack. My face was streaked and smeared with black eyeshadow. I looked like something out of a horror movie. I sighed and turned the handle on the faucet, letting it run over my hand until it got warm. I cupped my hands and allowed the water to pool in them, lowering my head and bringing the water up to me once it reached a substantial level. The warmth felt nice on my jacked-up face, as if it was releasing me from a layer of upset and allowing me to start fresh. I repeated this action a few times, rubbing at my skin to help it along, and lifted my head up to check myself in the mirror. Thankfully, it was already almost gone. I decided almost was good enough and snagged the hand towel that hung on the wall to dry my face with, relishing in the fact that I finally felt refreshed and clean. I pulled the towel away to find some black make-up residue on it and tossed it in the laundry hamper instead of hanging it back up like a jerkwad. I sighed in contentment and unlocked the door, opening it to be met with Logan walking to his room, Remus following close behind. "Oh come on Spencer Dweeb, I just wanna meet the new Dark Side!" He moved his hand to grab Logan's shoulder, but Logan immediately spun around and backed away from him, holding his hands up in defense. "Do not touch me. I have absolutely no idea where your hands have been." He said, clearly disgusted by the notion. Remus giggled. "Neither do I!" I sighed and started the walk back to my room. "Hey there Emo! Sorry to hear about your little breakdown!" Remus called. I groaned quietly and walked faster, making sure to lock my door as soon as I entered my room. Well, until I realized that the lock was busted, obviously as a result of them breaking the door down. I groaned again and let my head fall against the door. "This really couldn't be any worse, could it?" I was in that position for all of ten seconds when a small knock sounded at my door. I squeezed my eyes shut. "Go away Remus!" I called, frustrated with the world and with myself. "Uh, it-it's not Remus. It's uh, it's Y/n." My eyes shot open and my head jerked up. CrapcrapcrapcrapcrapshootshootfrickfrickFRICK I moved back and yanked the door open a little too vigorously to find Y/n's slightly surprised face on the other side. She looked exhausted, but I didn't notice at first, I was too busy being embarrassed. "Y/n, I-I'm...so, so sorry, I-I didn't mean to-" I caught sight of Remus standing in the hallway next to Logan's - now closed - door, wiggling his eyebrows with that stupid grin on his face. My face heated up and I cut myself off by groaning and bringing my hands up to it, running them both halfway through my hair so I was hidden behind my forearms. "I-It's fine...you know you didn't do anything wrong, right?" She asked. I sighed and buried my face deeper in my arms. "Yeah, I...I guess." I heard Remus' stupid giggle and grabbed Y/n's arm rougher than I had intended to, yanking her in my room. I shut the door immediately, well aware of what Remus would draw from this situation but not having the energy to give a crap. I turned to her to see her holding her arm with her other hand, a slightly pained look on her face. "Ooooh my gosh, I'm so sorry Y/n, I-I-" I sighed and ran my hands through my hair again. It seemed that I had developed a new habit. "I-I didn't mean to grab you that hard." She looked confused for a moment before her eyes slightly widened and she looked down. "O-Oh, um, yeah, it's...it's fine." She looked back up at me and I finally noticed how tired she looked. "Uhh, did you sleep last night?" She shrugged absently. "Yeah." "Sooo...why do you look so tired?" She shrugged again and looked to the side, her eyes dead and empty. It was harrowing. "I just...had a bad day." I studied her slumped posture and her tired eyes and decided not to press the matter any more. I cleared my throat and rubbed the back of my neck awkwardly. "So...what did you come in here for?" My eyes widened as I realized what I said. "N-Not that I don't want you here! I-I do! But, not like in a creepy way! I-I don't want you here, but I don't not want you here! I-I just, you know, I mean-" I struggled to get my meaning across as she looked at me in amusement, a small smile gracing her face. I sighed. "I'm gonna stop talking now." She chuckled softly. "I don't understand a thing that you said." She walked closer to me and wrapped her arms around my torso. I was shocked. At first I couldn't move. As far as I knew, she hadn't even really touched anyone yet. And now...she was hugging me. She was hugging me. Me. I slowly wrapped my arms around her in return, savoring the feeling of the affectionate contact. Her soft hoodie felt nice on my slightly chilly hands, and her messy hair tickled my nose. I loved this. I almost never got hugs from anyone except Patton, and now I had gotten two in the same day from people who had never hugged me before. She pulled back and looked up at me with a small light in her eyes that replaced the emptiness. "I've never hugged anyone before. It's nice." I searched her eyes for a moment before breathing out a smile. "Y-Yeah...yeah, it is." She smiled back. "So...you wanna listen to music?" I chuckled at her forwardness. "Yeah. I do."

Okay, I forgot to say this in the last chapter but I'm so sorry for making the Reader female! When I get inspired to make an x Reader, I just kinda do it without planning much of it out. I also tend to write the Reader as myself in most situations, which is a terrible habit that I'm trying to break. I know that not everyone is like me, I just forget to implement that fact in my stories sometimes. If anyone wants me to change it to they/them pronouns, I will. I'll be honest, it'll be a lot harder to remember, but I'll try!😹 Let me know! Bye guys!
