As I left the house, I looked at my watch. It was 8:30, class is supposed to start at 8:45. How am I supposed to get there in 15 minutes??? All of a sudden, I hear a car horn approaching me.

"Y/n! Come sit! We're both gonna be late," a familiar voice yelled at me.
"SHREK!!" I shouted. "What a great surprise. I thought I would have to run to school on my first day. I don't want to be sweaty," I cringed at the thought of smelling like onions, even if my best friend liked onions.

Shrek and I have known each other for the longest time. I grew up in Thneedville, but we both had to move to Whoville, but at different times. I moved because of my mother. She found this useless job as a stripper, and is getting paid way less than back home. Shrek moved out because his parents got divorced ages ago. Though we met in Thneedville in kindergarten, he moved away a year later.

"Are you ready for your first day?" Shrek asked while turning on my favorite song called Shreksophone.
"Now I am," I answered while swinging my arms back and forth in the roofless car that Shrek owned.
"I'm glad you're here," he said as he pushed on the gas.
"Me too".
But I was lying.
