Love needs a safe place to blossom and the way he made me feel safe was effortless. He knew when I needed space, so he fell back. He knew when I needed comfort, so he fell through. He even knew when I was running away and let me run. He let me run because he knew I didn't want to. It was just a habitual safety precaution that I had developed out of fear. So he would let me run and knew when to come and run after me. When he caught me he would just wrap his arms around me and say the same four things. In these arms you are Secure. In these arms you have Affection. In these arms you can be Free. In these arms you can Escape. And immediately after that my body would just relax and a wave of peace would just wash over me. Just by saying those four little lines he would instantly make that space S.A.F.E.
