about you

it's like from the

first moment

i saw your face

read the

words

spilling across

my screen

you burrowed

deep

into my mind

and stayed

there

i'm not

complaining

your caramel

eyes

and brown curls

can live in my

head

rent free

anytime

all of the

connections

that we made

and the

sort of creepy

similarities

in our days

in our lives

i'm convinced

it was fate

that i met you

i know you

believe in that

stuff

and i don't

because you're

the pure

good

faithful one

and i'm the

torn up

restless soul

but i believe

in fate

now

for us at least

who knows

maybe you'll

come to

care for me

someday

the way i

care for you

but if you don't

that's fine

i'm okay with

being on the

sidelines

as long as i'm

at the game
