Chapter Three : ''The Birthday.''

The usual morning came around as it has been for the past few years, for some decades, but something was off this morning. September 13th, A normal day for the scientists but for the family SCP's there was a sense of stress in the air. Techno, Floris, Tommy and Phil were all pasing around their rooms catching the attention of many to almost all of the scientists.

Kai and Yorick both just started their shifts, coming into Floris' room. They noticed Floris' stress, which was quite hard to not notice, honestly.

''Yorick, What's up with Fundy?''

''Dunno. Go ask him.''

Anna started her shift and as she walked into Techno, Wilbur's and Phil's rooms she noticed something was off. She decided to go ahead and ask Phil what was up, since this felt to her like they had a fight, and she couldn't let fights go unnoticed.

''Phil? What happened?'' She asked as she handed him his tea and their latest collection of books. He liked books, Possibly because he's old.

''It's the 14th tomorrow.'' ''..So..?'' ''So?? Anna, come on. It's Wilbur's birthday tomorrow and we have nothing, and I mean nothing, planned.''

This came to Anna as a wake-up call, She obviously knew about all the birthdays yet this one she forgot in all the hurry and chaos from yesterday's events.

''Oh my god- You- Your right, oh god we have nothing--''

''Would there be a possibility you guys can get him a cake, or some presents? Or both, preferably.'' ''Yes! Of course! I'll get right on it!''

Kai stormed out of the room, trying to find Anna as soon as possible.

''Kai, where the hell are we going?? Who are you trying to find? What did he s-'' ''Yorick, if you don't shut up now I will make you.'' Kai yelled back at him as he sees Anna who stormed out of the room she was in

''Anna!'' Kai yelled out

''Kai, Yorick go prepare one of our celebration rooms- We- Nevermind Yorick get the chef's to make a birthday cake! Kai, prepare the room!''

''On it, ma'am!'' They said in sync before going off to do their tasks.

''Am-Amber!'' Anna said out of breath as she entered the office, shocking Amber.

''Anna, what the hell? What happened? Did a code red come up?-'' ''No-no, Amber it's Wilbur's birthday tomorrow!''

''You.. You forgot?'' Amber asked before laughing, causing Anna to look at her confused, ''Anna, silly, I already knew this. I ordered presents legit a week ago to make sure they got here on time. They arrived yesterday.''

This caused Anna to go into complete shock as her eyes widened.

As their in-between door opened up, William said the first few words, ''Guys what happened? Why did Anna run out so quickly? Did something happen with another SCP?''

''Uhm, sort of?'' Techno responded.

''Fundy, Tubbo and Tommy didn't get hurt right?'' ''No, they didn't.''

''Hey guys you know what event will be happening tomorrow?'' William asked with a slight excitement

''Uhm.. It's the 14th tomorrow.. Isn't it?'' Techno said, winking at Phil and he got the hint.

''There's nothing really happening tomorrow, Wilbur.'' Phil added.

William was quickly overwhelmed by that they didn't remember, Maybe they thought it was August..? No.. No they wouldn't forget right..?

''Right..! I must have messed up the date.'' William said before going back into his room.

To all the SCP's the day passed by like any other day, but for the scientists the day was full of planning, making sure everything worked, decorating and so on. The chef's had possibly the busiest day, they had to prepare all the food and snacks for the other day.

Hours passed and it became lights out, causing all the scientists doing their last night check-ups. Amber just finished checking up on Ranboo, and was up on William before going to the nightshift by Dream.

As she went to his room, she noticed he was more quiet and upset than usual. She was certain she also could hear sniffs coming from his every now and then.

''Wilbur?'' She asked.

''Yes, Amber?'' ''What's wrong? Did you and techno have a disagreement again over who's a better brother?''

William laughed at this, quietly making sure not to wake the others up.

''No.. You do know tomorrow's my birthday, right?'' ''Obviously, I am the boss.'' William sniffed again, ''They all forgot.. Even Anna.''

Amber let out a slight chuckle, ''Wilbur, It's in the system your birthday's tomorrow. I am certain everybody will remember then. Now, go to bed. I have to go to Dream for the night.''

Amber went to close the door before hearing a quiet 'Thank you' coming from William.

With that, Amber went to Dream's room to have their annual night conversations.

The next morning it was all too quiet for William, he didn't like it. The doors opened only to reveal two empty rooms, and an arrow pointing towards the main doors.

'Follow it, the door is open.' a note attached to the arrow said, and so William did. It led him to a dark, and from what he thought was an empty room until he heard a little giggle what sounded like Tubbo, followed by a 'Shut up' from Tommy.

''Goddamnit, boys you ruined it!'' ''Shut up, you self absorbed pig!''

''..Techno..? Tomm-''

''SURPRISE!'' Tubbo pops up as the lights were turned on ''Tubbo you were too early!'' Anna yells at him

The lights now revealed the usual celebration room that was used for birthdays, containing his family and their scientist buddies, decorated for his birthday.

''You.. didn't forget.?'' ''Clearly not, Wilby-'' ''Did you just call me Wilby, Tommy?~'' ''Wha- nO! I did not call you Wilby.'' ''You can call me Wilby Tommy, that's okay.'' ''I did not call you Wilby!''

The day reached 4PM, with jokes still happening and presents still being opened, when Amber gets a notification there's someone at the lab's doors.

''I'll be right back, Anna. Though I suggest we uh.. Clean up a little bit. There's someone here.. They're from HQ.''
