I'm floating in the darkness I don't care anymore. Nothing matters anymore.
The light has never come back.
Emma was the last thing I ever saw.
I can hear her echoing voice screaming at me. I can hear her broken whisper about Little Guy not making it. I can hear the absolute fear in her voice when she told me that she was joining me in Hell. I feel my heart break.
I relived that moment over and over again.
I can't unsee or un-hear anything that was said.
Little Guy would never have a future.
Emma lost her chance at redemption.
I had failed Little Guy with my hesitance. I had failed Emma in dragging her into my rule-breaking.
I couldn't do the right thing in death either.
I close my eyes. Wishing I could die, but knowing I already am.
I feel something grab onto my wrist. New torture? It wouldn't do any good. Nothing can hurt me as much as Emma did.
I do nothing as the thing pulls me deeper into the darkness.
