Hermione's p.o.v

After leaving the common room with immense satisfaction, Hermione discovered a corridor with three doors. Not entirely sure which was which she opened the first one and to her surprise was the right room.

It was magnificent!

The walls were a violent Gryffindor red, with gold edging. There were floor to ceiling windows that had a double door leading onto a balcony that overlooked the black lake and the forbidden forest. After taking a huge breath of fresh air, she turned back through the golden curtains and back through the double doors. She then fully took in the beauty that was where she would be living for the next year. The queen sized bed was a rich brown with red and gold bedding and gold curtains, matching the ones by the windows. There was a massive bookshelf that contained some books already and would probably be full by the time Hermione had added her own collection. There was a desk matching the colour of the bed and bookshelf. A wardrobe for her clothes.

They didn't get one of them in the Gryffindor girls dorms.

There was a door that led into a small en-suite bathroom. It had white marble surfaces with a large mirror hanging over the sink, a toilet and a small shower. Hermione assumed that a full bathroom with all the accessories was what was behind the third door in the hall. Hermione felt she was in pure heaven at the luxuries she got to use for her last year at Hogwarts and she could not be more excited to begin.

Once she had gotten settled, Hermione grabbed her wash bag, towel and pajamas and headed to the larger bathroom hoping for a bath.

She opened her door quietly trying not to draw attention to herself.

'This is ridiculous' she thought 'I have as much of a right to be here as that pompous prat does. I should not be sneaking around him to accommodate him.'

As she stood in her open doorway, she failed to notice, once again, the presence of the 'pompous prat'.

"You know if you were waiting for me you could have just knocked." Malfoy said with a smug air in his voice.

"Ahhhhh!" Hermione jumped, startled by his presence.

"What the hell is wrong with you?" She asked.

She watched his eyes as he formulated the perfect response that she knew would rile her up, his smart mouth opened. But before anything could come out Hermione interrupted to save herself the pain of enduring a spiteful retort off.

"You know what I don't actually think I want an answer from you when I am perfectly capable of coming up with some real ones myself. And I can do that whilst I run myself a bath. Do not disturb me and stay out of my way." She ended, spitting the last word to make sure the message got through this thick skull.

Once again leaving Malfoy standing there wondering when the notorious Gryffindor golden girl bookworm had been able to best him, again.

With that, she slammed the door in his face and with a flick of her wand, turned the taps on for her bath.

The bathroom was huge, the bath was at least triple the size of a normal one with tap and taps and taps that spouted different scents and bubbles and colours into her bath. Hermione settled on lavender. Slightly ironic lavender being her one of her favourite scents and the name being linked to such an awful excuse for a human.

After getting undressed, she stepped into the warm bath and sank into the bubbles. Her muscles instantly relaxed, calming her nerves and relieving her of the tension she held in her shoulders after her last encounter with that ferret.
