Hermione's p.o.v.

Down at dinner, Ginny sat with Dean and Seamus, who were all too much lovey dovey for her newly single mind set. She looked around to see Ron sitting a little further down the table with Harry, but Hermione was nowhere in sight. Now that she thought about it, she hadn't seen Hermione all day, she wasn't at lunch, to which Harry had told her Hermione wasn't coming down because she wasn't feeling too good. But Hermione never missed dinner, this was their main time to catch up and chat about everything that had happened that day. Ginny had a worried look on her face and Dean noticed.

"Ginny? What's wrong?" He asked.

"I haven't seen Hermione all day, have either of you? You're in classes with her aren't you?" Ginny asked with a panicked undertone to her voice.

"Come to think of it, she wasn't in potions earlier." Said Seamus, expressing his confusion and concern.

"Yeah," added Dean "she wasn't DADA either and I'm sure I heard Neville mention her absence from Herbology because they had been partnered up to do some kind of experiment today and they were supposed to plan it together, or something."

"That is very unlike Hermione Granger, to miss a whole day of school, I mean even when she was ill for that week in third year she still attended every single one of those classes." Finished Ginny, who was now so worried she couldn't sit still.

"I'm going to ask Malfoy if he's seen her, they do share a common room." Ginny said getting up and heading over to the Slytherin table.

"Oi, Weaslette, what are you doing coming over here?" Goyle asked with a slightly turned up nose, clearly still holding a flame for disliking the Weasleys.

"Shut it Goyle, I've come to talk to Malfoy." She turned her attention to the blonde haired boy who she was now opposite to.

Having heard his name, Malfoy looked up.

"What do you need Red?" he asked, teasing her slightly.

Red she could handle, it was not nearly as bad as Weaslette.

"Have you seen Hermione?" she asked her eyebrows raised in hope.

"Not since I left the common room this morning, why?" He asked curiously, having started to feel like an overprotective brother to Hermione, he wanted to know if something was wrong.

"No one has seen her all day and she hasn't shown up to any of her classes today"

"What's wrong with Hermione?" asked Theo, who, from what Ginny was telling them, got very worried about his friend.

Knowing about the events of this morning Draco understood why she wasn't in her classes, but surely people would have seen her at lunch or dinner.

"Have you checked our common room, she might be in there still." Draco asked.

"No, because you're the only one who knows the password and therefore the only one who can get in." Ginny returned with a hint of frustration in her voice.

"Well let's go now if something is wrong, we might be too late." Draco said as he got out of his seat.

Ginny, Theo and Blaise also followed, all wanting to check if Hermione was ok.

Seeing this odd group leave the Great Hall, Harry, Ron, Dean and Seamus also got up and followed them out.

The collection of three Slytherins and five Gryffindors, got lots of weird looks from people in the corridors.

Once they reached the Head Dorms, Draco didn't hesitate to say the password and let seven of Hermione's closest friends into their living quarters.
