Hermione's p.o.v.

Before long Fred had found his way back to Hermione. She was so excited for what came next despite how much she would miss Hogwarts. Fred came over looking rather nervous and she wasn't too sure why.

"Mia, I was wondering, and of course by all means don't feel like you have to say yes, because I know you've only just graduated and may want some space or something..."

"Freddie, you're rambling, just ask her." George chimed in over his shoulder, he gave Hermione a wink.

"Move in with us, with me?" He asked her.

Hermione had never seen him that nervous before, yes she'd seen him nervous but never this extreme. But her face broke out into a giant grin, Fred wanted the same thing she did, having asked George if she could move in at Christmas.

"Yes! Of course I will." She launched at him and the two of them hit the floor, Fred having not expected the attack.

They both laughed and locked eyes. Hermione brought her lips slowly on to his for a passionate kiss. George cleared his throat to remind the two they weren't alone. Hermione giggled and stood up, dragging Fred with her. She then gave George a hug.

"Should we tell him I was already planning on moving in?" Hermione whispered in George's ear.

"Nah, give him this one, he knows you're already smarter than him." George whispered back and then chuckled at his own mockery.

The group all started to head down to the carriages ready for their final trip as students down to Hogsmeade. But Hermione noticed an unmoved Harry.

"I'll meet you at the carriages." She told the twins, they nodded and she went to grab Ron.

The two of them walked up behind Harry and stood either side of him. Hermione wrapped an arm around his arm and Ron patted his shoulder to alert him of their presence. The three stood there in silence looking up at the place they had called home for the last eight years or so. Harry sighed and Hermione looked to him rather than the majestic castle that stood before him. She could see that it was making him quite emotional to leave, she knew it was the first place he had actually been able to call home. She could also tell there were a million and one thoughts racing around his brain at this point in time.

"Ron," Harry broke the silence, "I know that we decided to go through the Auror ranks together but I had another offer that I think I'm going to take."

He paused.

"McGonagall offered me the Defence Against the Dark Arts post starting next year, the one this year has decided to leave and go work in America. Maybe I'll be the one who can break the DADA teacher curse." He gave a lighthearted laugh at his last comment.

"Harry, that's brilliant, there is no one better suited for the job. You ran the DA so well which makes you a perfect fit." Hermione said with a large smile.

Ron stayed quiet. He looked a bit disappointed which made the other two thirds of the Golden Trio worried. But then he started to laugh. This confused Hermione.

"There would be no one who could do that job better, I mean you literally were the defence against the darkest art ever. You killed Voldemort so of course it would be you." Ron said through his laughs.

His laughter became contagious and soon all three of them were laughing.

Once again Hermione found herself standing on a platform next to the Hogwarts express. It only seemed like yesterday she was leaving for the final year and now this would be it, the last time she would ride on the train. Although she didn't really understand, it was only the 7th years riding the train and they were all able to apparate, so why did they need to sit on a train for five hours? But then again this was what all the 7th years did and they finally had a normal year at Hogwarts and this was the normal way to be sent home so she wasn't going to argue with tradition.
