Draco's p.o.v

That evening Draco decided to spend some time in the Slytherin Common room. As he approached the door, he realised he didn't actually know the password since he wasn't technically living there anymore.

"Pureblood" He stated confidently, a wild stab in the dark.

The portrait swung open.

'Somethings never change.' He thought to himself.

He walked into the common room to find it empty. Disappointing. Just as he was about to turn and leave Pansy came trotting down the stairs from the girls dorms.

"Ah good, someone who can help me." She said, with an innocent look on her face, which as Draco very well knew, meant she wanted something.

"What do you need help with Pans?" He asked, he knew it was no good fighting the look, it was always a losing battle.

"It's not so much something I need help with, but something I want you to do." Pansy said with a sickly sweet grin on her face. This look was something maybe only Draco had ever seen, no one other than him usually saw this side of Pansy, ever.

And that is how Draco found himself sitting in the Slytherin common room, with his 'sister', painting her nails, while she read the latest edition of Witch Weekly.

Hermione's p.o.v

The blaring noise of Hermione's alarm woke her up at 6 o'clock. Hermione liked to get up early to make sure that all her things were in order before her day of lessons. Once she had organised herself and had gotten dressed, she headed down to the common room. Passing Draco on the way down, she told him she would be going down to the Great Hall to meet Harry, Ron and Ginny for breakfast.

As she walked into breakfast, she spotted Theo, Blaise and Pansy sitting at the Slytherin table, she gave them a small smile and a knowing nod. She knew, from Theo, that they had all been forced into horrible situations by their parents and now they deeply regretted everything they had done. She also knew that Blaise's parents had died in the final battle, leaving him an orphan, Pansy's mother had also died and her father was serving a life sentence in Azkaban, leaving her an orphan, and Theo's father was also in Azkaban for life, his mother having died when he was young. The only one of the Slytherin's that had some form of parent was Draco and his mother had taken in all of his orphaned friends over the summer and let them be teenagers for once in their lives. Things were still tense between them but the ice was slowly starting to thaw.

As she sat down at the Gryffindor table, next to Ginny she leant over to Harry and said

"There is something I want to show you, meet me in the library once you've finished your breakfast."

He looked up with a slight gleam in his eye. Knowing, because of their bond, that this had to be a good thing.

She grabbed a red apple and headed to the library. In Hermione's opinion it was never too early to start studying for her NEWTs at the end of this year. She walked down the rows of books, most of which she had already read, and found one of the NEWT transfigurations books, she just needed to re-cap a few spells, mainly ones she hadn't perfected on the first attempt.

To Hermione, what felt like hours later, Harry tapped her on her shoulder, pulling her out of her revision mode and back to reality.

"Good now that you're here I want to show you something." Hermione said.

"You're being very mysterious you know, it's very unlike you Mione, are you ok?" Harry inquired with a brotherly tone of worry in his voice.

"You'll just have to trust me, now come on. I want to show you this before we have to go to class."
