Hermione's p.o.v.

A few hours later Hermione was walking behind McGonagall, who was levitating the portrait of Tonks, they had silenced her to keep the surprise a surprise.

"Good evening Professor" said Remus.

"Hello Minnie, what have you got there?" asked James with a cheeky grin.

Sirius and James were the only two people Minerva McGonagall would ever be allowed to call her 'Minnie'

Hermione grinned with excitement barely able to contain herself. Lily noticed.

"Are you ok Hermione? You look like you're about to explode." Lily asked.

"I'm very ok Lily I don't think I could be more ok if I tried." Hermione replied.

McGonagall turned her attention to Remus and then the portrait.

"We are putting a new portrait up in the head dorms. I think you'll be very pleased with who it is."

"Is it Snivillous?" Sirius asked.

"Sirius!" Lily scolded.

"No Mr Black it is not Professor Snape."

Hermione whispered the counter charm and unsilenced Tonks' portrait.

"Professor, Hermione what's going on?" Tonks said.

Remus gasped, his eyes glazed over, he received confused looks from Lily and James, but Sirius knew. He knew that voice anywhere, his favourite cousin.

"Dora?" Remus questioned hesitantly, not wanting to get his hopes up too much.

McGonagall turned the portrait around and let the two set eyes on each other for the first time in a few months.

To Remus and Tonks it felt like a lifetime, in reality it was only a few minutes.

McGonagall cleared her throat and said,

"If you let us in and we hang the portrait up you can actually be in the same portrait as each other."

"Right of course." Lily said, Remus being very much lost for words.

They left Remus and Tonks to catch up and Hermione went to talk to Harry, she thought it was a good idea to come up with a way for Remus and Tonks to see Teddy now that they were together again.

As she was walking to the Gryffindor common room she walked into Ron.

"Hey Ron what's wrong?" he looked like the sky before a thunderstorm, dark and moody.

"I don't know, why don't you tell me?" he snarled at her.

Hermione was taken aback.

"I'm sorry what have I done wrong?"

"Tell me what that was between you and Malfoy, you know sitting outside your common room."

"What? You mean when I was having a panic attack and reliving the torture when I got this on my arm." She hissed at him holding up her arm, which was now wrapped in a bandage.

He looked at her sheepishly, not fully convinced but all the evidence seemed to be in her favour.

"I'm sorry Hermione, I let my imagination run wild, Malfoy isn't a good guy an-"

"What do you mean Malfoy isn't a good guy," She cut him off, "just because he was on the wrong side of the war does not make him a bad person, you don't know what ordeals he had to suffer through as well. Do well to remember Ronald, that while we were running from Voldemort Draco had to live with him." She finished her rant.
