This will just be an author's note and some warnings.
So, I'd like to preface this by saying that most of my practice is with modern settings, not medieval fantasy type settings. I tried to do some research to get it correct, but my writing might not be best suited for this.
This story isn't going to be based on the SMP lore. I have a book called Far Gone, which I'm not the proudest of, if you're looking for that. This will just be based on the SMP characters and how they fit into this world. Not everyone is meant to represent an SMP character and I'll often leave things mysterious on purpose. Just so that everyone's aware that no you didn't "miss something" I just decided to be a prick about it.
This story will be much darker than my others. I know that I'll often include heavy themes in my writing, but this will involve the tragedies of war. It won't be pretty.
I'll be posting the first chapter tomorrow and will see how you guys react to it.
