Lucien's POV

I just got home from Louise's place and I'm being summoned to Uncle's office

"Sit." he tells me as I enter

"I'm sorry for yelling earlier. I got in a disagreement with Louise and I took it out on you."

"Lucien, I'm saying this because I care for you."

"You're sending me back?" I asked

"What? No! I'd never do that! I sat you down so we could talk about your smoking habit and your outbursts. College is very stressful and if you aren't in the best state of mind it can get the best of you. With that being said I think you'd benefit greatly from going back to therapy. Just to talk through your past."

"Hell no! I've been to therapy and it didn't help!" I completely dismissed this crazy idea

"Because you didn't give it a chance. You were so guarded they couldn't help you."

"What makes you think it'll be different this time?"

"You're in a relationship with someone you love. Communication is important. Going to therapy could help you cope with stressors in a healthier manner. I genuinely want you to be happy."

"I am happy! I'm not gonna kill myself if that's your fear." I yelled

"Lucien please, give it a chance? If you go to one session and open up you won't have to go to that camp you hate. I'll also give you back the keys to your car and extend your curfew." he bargained

"Just one session?" I took the bait

"Just one."

"Deal." I agreed

That's how I ended up at some random therapists office at 10 in the morning

"Your uncle has expressed that you have a strong dislike towards therapy." she spoke

"Yeah I've been to therapy in the past and they were judgmental." I shrugged

"I hope you'll one day consider this a judgement free space. I have my fair share of demons so I'm in no place to judge. Please trust that anything said in here won't leave the room unless you want it to."

"Uncle Maddox says he'll give me back my car if I open up to you so that's what I'll do." I told her honestly

"What type of car do you drive?" she asked

"A Bugatti."

"What type?"

"If this is your way of trying to connect with me it's not working." I spat

"My dad was a mechanic. For fun we'd buy old cars and fix them up. I happen to like cars so I was curious."

"How much time do we have?" I asked looking at the clock ticking away behind her

"It's 10am and my office closes at 10pm so you've got a whopping 12 hours to open up."

I couldn't help but laugh

"So that's what he meant when he said I'd only need one session."

"When you're hungry I'll order food. Also if you'd rather walk around, the entire building has been cleared." She informed me

"Cool, so where should I start?"

"It's up to you. I can ask you questions to guide you through your memories, you can take the lead and talk about what you want, or you could tell me about yourself and connect those traits to memories."

"Let's do the first one."

So far I was liking that I had full control over the direction of the session
