Life Problems

There was a guy with orange ombré hair and quite tall. He stood up and looked at me surprised.
He must be that shin?shun? guy with that pink haired girl Yesterday.

"Oh uh hi I - uh thought you where Lyra." I sweat a bit

Oh no I'm Lyras friend Shon, I work here so I didn't break in here if that's what your thinking. He rubs the back of his head a bit .

"Hahah no I would never think that, I'm y/n"

I extend my hand.
"Nice to meet you"

Nice to meet you to. He takes my hand and shakes it.

"Do you know where Lyra is? "

I do actually she went out, she had some business to take care of.

"Aw man! well I guess it can't be helped"

May I ask how you know Lyra and what you need from her?

Hmm a bit pushy aren't we?
Don't tell me-

"I met her yesterday when I was buying flowers, and we became friends. I also wanted to have lunch with her so we could hang out."

" but it seems like she won't be back till later"
"If you could, can you rely a message for me"

Uh sure what is it.
Taking out a piece of paper and pen

"Tell her to come to the Juice bar down by the beach tomorrow if she is not busy. Oh you should come to sense we are friends now"
I say smiling up at him. He blushes a bit and nods his head.

Sure I'll let her know.

"Thanks a lot."

He turns around and looks at the paper that was set on the big island table. It's as if he was anxious.

I looked at him and looked down at the paper.

"Hey Shon are you okay?"

He flinchs thinking I have already left
Um well... (he pauses)
Changing his mood and forcing a smile.
Of course I am. I just a rough day and tired is all.
I know that's not true, stop bull- craping me

Sigh* "I may have known you for like 5 minutes, but I know I fake smile when I see one. I know your not okay."
He looks at me like I have solved a puzzle and is amazed by it.
Heh I may know why Lyra Befriended you so easily. And you are correct, I am not all that great right now.

"I'm here you can talk to me, if you want that is I won't force you to do anything."
"Just trying to help out a friend."

He looks at me like I was his savior.
Sitting down next to him. I sit patiently waiting for him to speak.
He looks at me and looks down to the paper and shakes his head.

For the longest time I feel like I haven't been myself.
And I'm not sure how to express what I feel inside because I don't want others to see that side of me.
And it doesn't help when I am trying my hardest to be a "hero" for the person I care about . Even though they found someone they love now. You can't help but feel like all your time is waisted. But I know it's never waisted when I'm with her.

"So your talking about Lyra right?"

He jumps so high and almost falls off his chair when he hears me say that.

W..w ..what do you mean Lyra????

"She's the girl who your trying to be a "hero" for correct?"
"Or is it the pink haired girl you where hugging yesterday?"

N..no !! I mean yes but No!

"So you where talking about Lyra."
He looks so shocked and scared at the same time....I found your deepest darkest secret!!

Sigh...yes I was. How did you know though?

"Uhhh well it was a lucky guess actually"

What are you a psychic? He laughs
He had this sort of aura around him, like everyone would like him because He is a good guy. A good looking one at that.

"There you go" I say

"Your smiling and it's a genuine smile."

Shon is dumbfound, he didn't expect things to turn out like this.

"And Lyra is dating someone?"

I don't know for sure but they make it seem like they are...I- I don't think he's right for her.

"Maybe they aren't actually dating but close friends."

Well she did say he was a close family friend.

"If i where you I wouldn't think to much of it, I mean she's bound to have different friends."

I guess your right. Don't tell Lyra about this I don't want for her to get all weirded out.

"It's okay I won't say a word!"

I walk to the door to suddenly stop in my tracks, hand on the door.

"Oh and Shon."
"Look carefully at the little things going on around you. You never know, you might find what you are seeking." With that y/n walks out the door leaving  Shon confused and thinking.
