Bretts POV
We got a call so we headed to the scene. Everything was going good till Boden told everyone to get out and everybody except Casey ran out. Suddenly the building collapsed and I couldn't catch my breathe.

Mackey- come here

Boden- CASEY... CASEY

Stella- his okay Brett just give him a moment

Boden and them started searching and I sat in the ambulance.

Kelly- I GOT HIM HE WAS UNDER A METAL CABINET

We grabbed the stretcher I cut his shirt and put the monitors on him. I shocked him three times and we finally had a rhythm so we got him the ambulance and Kelly hopped on. I put the oxygen mask on him to make sure he could breathe and held his hand. He opened his eyes and his eyes was filled with terror. We got to med and we got him.

Brett- Matthew Cas...

Mackey- Casey 30 lungs filled with smoke from being stuck in a fire his in and out

Natalie- WILL MARCEL

Marcel- on three

I walked into the private waiting room and laid my head on Stella's shoulder. I zoned out thinking about Casey. I didn't hear anyone or look at anyone I just started my promised ring and zoned out. All these memories flooded my mind. Casey was my everything my missing piece and I finally felt happy in life we just celebrated our one year and now he is laying on a OR table and I'm terrified of my world dying.

Stella- Brett.. Brett..

Kelly- Brettie

Brett- huh

Stella- coffee

Brett- thanks

Hermann- they find out what happen

Kelly- I keep rethinking the steps he heard a scream and Boden told us to get out so I grabbed my victim and Casey said he was right behind me and he was then I got to the door I heard a loud bang so I ran and y'all came out behind me but he didn't I don't think he put his self under there and they haven't found any bodies so he was set up I guess

Kelly- mmm I don't know

After fours hours Marcel came into the room.

Marcel- he is resting but he should be fine his leg is broke he may seem high and he is gonna need extra care he hit his head his memory maybe foggy for first couple hours and he is gonna need physical therapy so he will be outta work a lot

Brett- no oh god can you like fix his leg I can't have him home 24/7 he will drive me insane with all his... common sense questions

Marcel- *chuckles* only for couple months then he will be okay

Brett- mmm

Marcel- and he can go home soon I wanna keep him for couple more hours but all we had to do is get that smoke out his lungs we only had to do surgery on his leg so he should be home by tonight I need to put a boot on it he won't wear a cast his in the first room on the right

I walked into his room and his face lit up.

Brett- don't do it again

Casey- promise baby

I laid beside him and kissed him. He rubbed my back and laid his other hand on my butt.

Brett- who were you looking

Casey- I don't know I heard a scream next I'm
trapped

Brett- I love you

Casey- I love you baby

Brett- you really scared me

Casey- I'm sorry I didn't mean to

We laid there and everybody else walked in checked on Casey then left. I spent the rest of the day laying next to him I was scared to leave his side.

Marcel- it's 7pm here sign this

Casey- k

Marcel- now you have to take these everyday take one of each

Casey- so take three pills that's a lot

Brett- he will do it

Marcel- your free to go

Casey- thanks

Casey got dressed in the clothes Kelly brought him. I ordered a cab to the firehouse and went inside grabbed our stuff and drove us home. When we got home I washed and laid Casey elevated his foot.

Ivy- *whimpers*

Brett- come here

Casey- cuddle me not the puppy

Brett- she's sad

Casey- fine

Brett- fine I'll cuddle you

I laid beside him he rubbed my back while and Ivy fell asleep in my lap. When Casey dozed off I sat up and couldn't fall asleep cause I worried about Casey. Eventually I dozed off watching my show.
