This is the 2nd part to the last chapter, and it takes place 2 weeks after the last chapter, and it might be my longest chapter (im not bragging)

Varian's POV

Its been 2 weeks since my friends have been trapped in the amber and i still dont have a way to save them, ive tried every potion and invention i have but nothing is working, ive basically given up hope, they arent coming back to me. I was sitting at my desk crying when i felt a letter in my Sack, I reached down and Grabbed it, but it wasnt just 1 letter but 4 letters. One was from Nuru, One was from Yong, One was from Hugo, and the last was from a mysterious person.

By the time your reading this, were already trapped in the Amber, we dont know how long we will be trapped in the amber, but i just want to let you know, that i care about you a lot, your one of my best friends and i care about you alot, and if were still in the amber around your birthday, Happy 18th birthday

I smiled and teared up a bit, Im glad nuru is one of my friends, i put the letter down and opened the next one from Yong next. It read

Your buddy yong here, i hope your ok after what happened, hope you found the letter, if you are reading this then you did, so Yay! Hopefully we get out of the amber soon so we can see you for your birthday, and if we dont get out by your birthday, i still wish you a happy birthday and we will see eachother again

I laughed a bit, i miss yong a lot, hes one of my best friends and he always made sure everyone was happy in Corona.

There were 2 letters left, the one from hugo, and the other from the mysterious person, i picked up Hugo's letter, opened it, and it read

Its me, Hugo, by the time your reading this, were already encased in the Amber, i saw who threw it at us, it was donella, my adopted mom, i dont know why she did this, and i dont know how she got the amber, but i just want you to know this....i love you Varian, i love you so much, and i hope you still have an awesome 18th birthday

Tears streamed down my face, Donella did this to her own son!?! How could she do this to him!?!, i looked at the final letter, i knew it was from Donella and i didnt want to deal with her. I threw the letter in the trash and sat at my desk and cried until i fell asleep

~The next day~

I woke up at my desk and yawned, today was officially my 18th birthday, but it doesnt feel right to celebrate it without Hugo, Nuru, and Yong, they were there for me since i was 15, and i dont want to start my life as an adult without them, maybe i should visit them. I stood up from my chair, got into a new pair of clothes, grabbed my bag, and walked out of my house toward corona, i would have woken up my dad but he is on a mission for a few weeks so hes out of the house.

I walked up to the gates of corona, and i noticed people weren't bambarding me, but i did get the occasional "Happy birthday Varian" From friends, Like andrew and feltspar, it felt nice, as i walked toward the alley where my friends should be. I noticed something, my friends were gone!?! But how were they gone!?! Before i could process what happened, i felt a hand on my shoulder, i screamed until i realized it was rapunzel "Oh, Rapunzel, its just you" I said, still trying to calm down from being scared, "Varian, i have a massive surprise for you" She said as she put a blind fold around my eyes, I couldn't see anything and then i felt a hand pull me somewhere, i dont recognize the hand though, but somehow it feels familiar at the same time

~Time skip~

It was sat down in a chair, i still had the blindfold on my head, and i recognized some of the voices around me, like lance, Eugene, The king and queen, and Rapunzel, it was taking them a while to do whatever they were doing, when they took the blindfold off, i was in the thrown room, and it looks like they set up a birthday party for me..

"Surprise!" Everyone yelled as they came out from behind their hiding spaces, i smiled and stood up from my chair "Wow, you guys did all this for me" I said, "of course we would, were your friends" Lance said, Then Rapunzel walked over with a small box, "This gift is from Hugo, I found it in his house when we went to look for something, he left a note to himself saying to Give it to you on your birthday, so we thought we would do it for him" she said as she handed it to me. I opened the lid and saw a small box with a ring inside, and a letter, i pulled both out and smiled. "What does the letter say?" Angry asked, i saw everyone looking at me, then i started reading the letter outloud, and it read

Dear Varian

I give you this ring as a way to promise that we will marry someday, I love you with all my heart and i want to spend the rest of my life with you, we are only 18 right now so this isnt a ring of engagement, this is a ring of promise, i promise I will propose  marriage to you in the future, and i promise that i will become your husband in the future, will you take this ring of promise and promise to be mine forever?

When i finished reading the letter, i was smiling and has a few tears in my eyes, People were saying "Awwww" and "thats adorable". Then i saw Rapunzel Smirking, "So Varian, if we were all hiding in the room, who took off your blindfold?" She said with a smirk

Then i realized that i never looked behind me, i turned around and saw hugo down on one knee looking up at me, i put my hands over my mouth and tears streamed down my face, "So what do you say?, wanna be together for the rest of our lives?" He said, i nodded and hugged him tightly, then i felt 2 pairs of arms, i looked and saw it was Yong and Nuru.

After our hug was broken, i spent the rest of the day celebrating my birthday with all my friends and my father while also finding out how they escaped, it turns out one of my potions did work but not immediately, they were free after a few hours.

when it was all over, i looked at hugo and kissed him softly and i whispered "i love you" in to his hear, then he whispered back...
