eddies pov
"Eddie Eddie" the doctor shouted catching me as my legs gave in
"yeah I'm I think .. ok just overwhelmed" I say slowly standing back on my own feet and going taking a seat on the chairs outside bucks room
"we can have you tested but its very unlikely your a match" he said sitting next to me
"lets go have me tested then" I said jumping onto my feet
"ok" he spoke quickly following me. After the test I went and sat with buck who was asleep I looked at the walls and at all the pictures of us.
"I wish I could trade places with you baby" I mutter
"I'm sorry mr Diaz" the doctor says standing in the door way. I knew what this meant I was going to loose the love of my life. I sat thinking staring at buck in this stupid hospital bed
"ill take him home" I said tears in my eyes as I got up and sat by him grabbing his hand and waking him
"were going to go home baby" I say smiling through my tears
"we are" he says happy
"yeah and we are not coming back" I nod watching the realisation of what im saying set in
"I'm going to die" he asks as the doctor nods causing me to let a few more tears fall
" its ok Eddie, lets just be at home for the day, lets just be happy for a while, lets just see what are feature would have been like" he cried placing a hand on my face
"ok" I smile. I slowly packed up the hospital room as buck finished his last round of chemo. I carefully took the pictures and drawings off the walls putting them in my bag to keep them safe. As I pushed buck out the hospital in his wheel chair the nurses and doctors lined the hallways clapping buck my heart braking a little more with each step. As we got to the end the 118 stood there
"cap, hen , chim" buck smiled
"we love you kid" bobby smiled back
"Eddie would u" bobby then says as I pick buck up putting him in the captains seat in the firetruck and all the 118 getting in the truck for the last time together. As we drove to my house the streets where filled with everyone in the city clapping and cheering for buck. Police cars , ambulances and fire engines guided the way. Everyone from all departments were around us clapping and I could see buck smiling and that was the moment I realised we was doing the right thing. I shared a look with hen and chim who both had tears streaming down there faces
"ill have criss tonight let you have one last night together" hen says choking on her words and all I could do was nod letting out a little sob. when we arrived at my house I jump out and pull buck out into my arms and placing him in the wheel chair Maddie has waiting
"hey sis , I love you and I will always be with you no matter what" he says looking up to Maddie
"I love you buck fight until the end thats all you can do for me" they shared a long hug before Maddie got in the car and I saw her brake down. I took buck and wheeled him into the house taking him straight into the lounge and putting him on the couch. criss was the first to come into buck
"hey Buddy" buck says as I place criss next to him on the couch
"hey Bucky" criss says with a smile
"I'm going to go away for a while superman and I need you to be strong for me and for your dad and I will always be with you criss ... always son" buck says all 3 of us now crying
"why do you have to leave" criss crys making I close my eyes gently to contain some of the tears
"I wish I diddnt have to im sorry" buck crys as they hug
"I love you dad" criss says hugging buck which makes me cry even more hearing him call buck dad. Athena and bobby where next to come into the room as hen took criss to pack his things.
"hey son" bobby said looking at a thin pale buck that sat slumped on the couch.
"I love you kid" bobby says letting a few tears fall
"I love you too pops and don't worry ill make sure to start some fires so your not too bored" buck joked making them laugh threw there tears. Athena just stood holding his hands struggling to speak
"I love you" she stutters out before braking down in Bobbys arms
"ok ok" he says taking her in his arms before walking out. Hen and chim came in together. I could tell they was both hurting as we all was
"buckaroo" hen said stroking his face
"its ok to be at rest now kid" she said placing a kiss on his head and starting to leaving before buck grabbed her hand
"your like a sister to me hen I love you" buck said tears now streaming down his face
"I love you too kid" she says leaving
"Buckley" chim says before grabbing his hand
"I wish you could meet our little girl and im sure you will be looking over us all kid just be at rest" chim says before walking out. Buck sat nodding struggling to get any words out once everyone had gone out I walked over to the couch pulling him in for a hug as he sobbed into my arms. After a few moments I jumped up
"ok wait here" I said running outside everyone crying in each others arms I stopped in my tacks looking round at everyone
"hen did you get everything ready" I smiled through my tears she just nods opening the garage door
"its perfect" I smile as everyone gasps
