Insomnia- Accidental Love

Chapter 1

Dreams P.O.V

I walk around the dreamscape as I softly hummed myself a familiar tune that I used to sing to my brother Nightmare every night before the...... incident.

I frowned at the memory as a familiar guilt fell heavy on my chest before I snapped myself out of my thoughts 'Stop it Dream, right now isn't the time for your self pity. You've got a job to do, which is to look after and protect as many dreams as possible.' I scolded myself as I returned my attention to the Golden Orbs that represents someones dream.

All of a sudden, a dark, cold aura entered the dreamscape and despite it being muffled by the warmth and comfort of the dreams that surrounded me. I was still able to sense its presence. 'Where is this coming from?' I wondered as I started walking towards the source of the sudden negativity. Every step I took, the negativity grew stronger, my surroundings turned colder and darker as my powers began to slowly weaken, but despite all of this, I continued onwards.

Soon, I found myself in front of a deep Purple Orb that gave constant waves of fear, anger, sadness, hopelessness, pain, and despair. My apple shaped soul immediately felt the urgent need too help this poor soul as I gave the dream, or rather nightmare, a sympathetic look.

"Don't worry, I promise I'll give you a plesent dream tonight." I said gently as I give the nightmare a soft smile before reaching out to touche it so I can enter the owners mindscape to create the dream of my choosing.

As I entered their mindscape, I was almost immediately hit by another wave of negativity causing me to stumble a bit before I caught myself. "Well that certainly was unexpected." I grunted as I look around my surroundings before realizing I enterd Errors mindscape. "What the!? How is this possible?" I said suprise.

Usually Nightmare was the one that gives his teammates or coworkers nightmares so he could feed on the negativity they give out. Unfortunately for me though, he somehow found a way to block  the negative aura that the nightmares would usually give out. Preventing me from sensing them and interfering from their nightmares and my brothers 'fun'.

So when I found Errors nightmare, you could imagine my surprise when I was able to access it, but found out this was a natural nightmare, and not one that was conjured by my brothers magic.

'Alright, enough stalling, let's get to work.' I thought as I went through Errors memory's to see what I could make the dream about. However it took a lot longer then I thought because their weren't many happy memories that Error possessd to give me an idea what the dream should be about. After a bit of searching I found out that Error was fond of relaxing in an AU called Outertale and knitting, so I made the dream about him peacefully looking up in the starry sky while making a scarf with of course some calming music in the background.

Satisfied with my work, I exited his mindscape and returned to the dreamscape where a soft Golden Orb took place of what used to be a Purple Orb.

"Much better." I said happily to myself as my golden colored soul couldn't help but swell in joy as I stare at a former nightmare. All of a sudden, I started to feel slightly light headed as my body started to fade from the dreamscape "It seems like I'm waking up." I hummed as stared at Errors dream one last time before a finale thought came in mind.

'I wonder if he liked the dream I gave him?'
