"Noooooooo, Jungkookie, don't make me leave. Lemme spend the night with the boys." I whine.
Jungkook rolls his eyes. "Come on, I'll take you to my place and you can sleep in a bed instead of a couch."
"Bed?" I perk up. "Oh, I haven't heard that in forever."
He chuckles. "Yeah. I have a room you can use. Tell the boys goodbye."
I nod and go over to where Nam-gi and Yong-gi are sitting together, heads almost touching as they work on a song together from a shared laptop.
"Oh, the rap line does know how to get along." I wrap an arm around each of them from behind and watch what they're doing. "This is beyond me. What are you doing?"
The blond, Nam-gi, looks over his shoulder at me while the redhead continues his work. "Ki-moon wrote a song with Mr. Jeon and we're adding the rap parts to it before sending the draft to Mr. Yoongi for him to mix and clean up."
I look at where Jungkook and Ki-moon sit next to each other on the couch, the maknae fast asleep on his leader's lap, face buried in the brunet's stomach.
Jung-nam is such a baby.
"That's really cool. You're young and all three of you are already working on writing and producing your own music? You haven't even debuted yet. That's amazing."
Yong-gi grins. "Thank you, Jimin. Ki-moon is a very important part of the group. He was the first here and learned a lot under Mr. Jeon, Mr. Yoongi, Mr. Hoseok, and various other songwriters and producers at Golden. He sings, dances, and makes music."
Nam-gi looks around. "He raps too."
"Oh, does he?"
He nods. "I'm the main and Yong-gi is the lead, but most of the members are pretty well rounded. The titles are more for formalities and something to go off in the beginning, but sometimes, roles change based on the song and choreography."
"So everyone can do everything?"
"Mmm, well, at a base level, pretty much. We can all dance and sing. We are pretty much the only rappers. Dae-ho isn't a rapper and is too embarrassed to do it since it doesn't come naturally to him. Jung-nam has been trying to learn, but it sounds really cute with his baby voice."
I giggle. "It's hard to understand how everything is set up. For example, how come Dae-ho is the main vocalist if he isn't the first?"
"He's one of the first members," Nam-gi explains. "And it's more about natural range in their case. Ki-moon and Dae-ho are pretty close in terms of stability, but Ki-moon's voice sits a lot higher naturally, so it doesn't make sense to center all the music around his vocals."
"Oh. You're just a bunch of geniuses."
Yong-gi smirks. "We know."
I kiss the tops of their heads. "See you two later. Be good. Don't fight too much."
"We make no promises," the duo says in unison.
Giggling, I wave them goodbye and go over to where Dae-ho is sitting. I plop down beside him and he looks up from his phone, smiling at me.
"Are Yoongi and Hobi going to come get you?" I ask.
Dae-ho adjusts under Jung-nam's legs, the maknae spread out over him and Ki-moon both. "They are. I'm excited. It'll be nice to get closer with my uncles."
I smile. "That's great. I know they're just as excited to see you."
He blushes. "I feel bad leaving Ki-moon with the other three. They're a handful."
