Leila's POV:
I woke up the next morning and looked to the side of the bed and no Derek, again. I sighed and went to take a shower.
When I finished, I looked in the mirror and saw my mate mark. Some mate, I barely see him anymore.
What if he's cheating on me? Derek wouldn't do that... would he? I sighed and changed into my outfit.
I looked in the mirror and checked to see how I look. I nodded my head, Lydia will approve. She's coming back today and texted me saying to wear something hot.
I walked out of the bathroom, but stopped when I saw Derek sitting on my bed. He smiled at me, but I didn't return it.
He frowned and walked up to me, "What's wrong?"
I looked him in the eyes, "Where were you last night?"
He sighed, "I'm sorry, I know I was supposed to come over last night-" I cut him off, "That's not what I asked. I asked where you were last night" I told him.
"I had to take care of something" he told me.
I crossed my arms, "What'd you have to take care of?" I asked.
"It's not important" he told me.
I frowned, "Are you cheating on me?" I asked quietly, afraid of the answer.
His eyes widened and he instantly shook his head. "Of course not, why would you think that?" he asked, trying to touch me, but I moved away from him, making him frown.
"Because you're not telling me something. You don't stay over anymore. I don't know where you are half the time. What am I supposed to think?" I told him.
"I'd never cheat on you. I swear" he told me.
I shook my head, "But you're still keeping something from me" I said, walking away from him and grabbing my bag.
"Leila" he called and grabbed my hand. I turned and looked at him, "Did I do something?"
He shook his head, "Of course not baby." He tried to put his hand on my cheek but I took a step away from him. "Then why don't you trust me enough to tell me?" I asked but he didn't say anything.
I looked down at the floor, trying to hold back tears. "I gotta get to school" I said, pulling my hand away and going downstairs, ignoring Derek's calls for me.
I drove to a coffee shop, to get coffee for Lydia, Allison, and I. After that, I drove to school and parked my baby. I grabbed the tray of coffees and walked to Allison and Lydia, who were waiting by the steps.
They smiled at me. "Coffees for my besties" I said and they took a coffee. I hugged Lydia, "God, I was so worried about you, please don't do that ever again."
