I decided to skip school the next day after what happened with Derek. I wore Mateo's sweatshirt and slept in his room.
I didn't want to go in the room Derek and I would stay in. Too painful. I got calls and texts from Scott, Stiles, and Allison. I did get a few from Derek, but I didn't read them.
My phone rang as I sat by the river. "Hello" I said. "Hey, it's me. Where have you been all day?" Scott asked.
"I've been at my family house" I told him. "What happened?" he asked.
I sighed sadly, "Derek and I broke up last night."
"What'd he do?" Scott asked angrily.
"I caught him and Erica kissing last night. Well, she was kissing him and he kissed back before pushing her off, but I don't know" I explained sadly, trying to ignore the pain in my heart.
"Are you okay? Do you need me and Stiles to come get you?" he asked. "I'm fine right now. Anyways, what's up?" I asked.
"Remember the book Deaton told us about the..." I cut him off, "The bestiary."
"You know about that too?" he asked. "My mom taught me a lot about the supernatural world" I answered.
"Oh... well anyways, we have a plan to get it during the game tonight, but we need your help" he told me.
"Okay, I'll be there" I told him. "Thanks, Leila" he told me. "I'll see you in a little bit" I told him before hanging up.
I got up and went into my house and changed into an outfit and put my hair in a high ponytail.

After I got dressed, I drove to the game. When I got there, I sat next to Stiles on the bench. I was going to go in with Stiles to try and find the book.
"Hey" he said. I gave him a small smile, "Hey."
"You okay?" he asked as the game was about to start. I shrugged, "I will be, eventually" and he held my hand and gave it a little squeeze.
After that, we watched the giant on steroids from the other team smash into one of our players and he hit the ground and didn't get up and I winced at that.
"Come on, is that thing even a teenager? I wanna see a birth certificate" Coach exclaimed before sitting next to Stiles, "Who or what is that genetic experiment gone wrong?" he asked.
"Eddie Abramovitz, Coach. They call him The Abomination" Stiles told him. "Oh, that's cute" Coach said. "Very creative" I said before Coach left.
I looked over to Allison, and saw her wearing Gerard's jacket. I nudged Stiles, "She got it" I told him.
"Okay, let's go" he told me as we got up and passed Allison, who passed me the keys.
After that, we ran towards the school. We were in the parking lot when Stiles stopped. "What is it?" I asked. He nodded his head towards a car and I saw Lydia crying in her car.
