I started to blink slowly murmouring, hearing screaming. I screamed as well feeling the pain intensifie. Scott ran to me trying to comfort me. I clung to his arms. The pain slowly started to ease off. "Derek, you okay?" Scott called looking over his shoulder. I tried to take some deep breaths. "Except the agonizing pain" I heard him mutter. "Well I guess the use to use sarcasm shows a good sign of health" Stiles retorted. My breathing slowly returned to normal. Scott moved away as Derek came closer. He pulled his tshirt back on and slid down the wall beside me pulling me into a hug. I could still feel some tears escape my eyes. "Sssh, your gonna be okay". I collapsed into his body. I felt his arm tighten round me. I buried my head into his chest hearing his heartbeat. I smiled. He rested his head on top of mine, I felt him rub his nose against my hair before pulling away quickly after. "Let's get you home", he got to his feet and held his hands out pulling me up.

I got out the jeep as we had arrived at my house. "You gonna be okay?" Derek asked getting out too. I nodded. I looked down, I had his leather jacket draped over me. I started to remove it. "Keep it, it suits you". I smiled looking at him. "But Derek, what happe-" "Sssh, go. Sleep. Rest. I'll come and check on you in a few days and we can talk then".

Over the next few days I avoided Scott and Stiles. I don't really know why, they hadn't done anything wrong. I just needed to be alone. To think. Process what had happened days previous. As the bell went ending another school day I made my way through the corridors heading to the exit. I made it three or four steps outside until I stopped feeling the last of the warm sun hit my face. I looked up as students rushed past me eager to get home. My breathing became irrational. "Eleyna? You okay?" I turned away for a moment to face Scott and nodded. That's when I seen him. I couldn't take my eyes off him. He looked cocky sitting in his Camaro. Another leather jacket and the dark shades. "Is he here to see you?" I shook my head. "I don't think so". I could barely get the sentence out before my emotions changed. I felt like a train had just hit me. A girl approached his car and got in the passenger door. Blonde, low cut top, short skirt. He looked round grinning. "I'll see you tomorrow Scott" I muttered before quickly scurrying away with tears filling my eyes. I couldn't help but think about everything. Every moment we had, not that there was many I suppose. Every look he had gave me. Was it all a lie? I liked him, and I sort of thought he liked me back. Guess I was wrong.

After dinner I locked myself in my room. I started drawing then reading then writing. I couldn't keep my concentration, my mind was elsewhere. *tap....tap....tap* I looked over to the window as I heard gentle clicks hitting the pane of glass. I opened the window and sighed. Derek perched in the tree beside my window. "You gonna keep me out here?" I nodded. His stern expression softened when his eyes met mine. My breathing became shallow. I swalled a lump in my throat, I couldn't help but want to be in his arms again. But then I remembered her. "Can I come in?" "Nope" I answered bluntly. He looked shocked at my response. He signed. "Look Eleyna, I don't do this, ever. Too messy. But with you..it's different. So if you wanna talk meet me. Beacon View Point, Saturday 11am. If you don't show you'll not see me again". I turned my back to him trying to process his words. I sat on the edge of the window sil. "Derek, how is it-" I turned. Gone. I sighed closing the window. I sat under it with my knees to my chest. I burried my face and cried.

DEREK'S POV

I watched Eleyna turn away from me. I sighed quietly. I jumped down off the tree and stayed leaning against the side of the wall until I heard the window close. I tried. My breathing became shaky, un-easy. I stopped, trying to process why. That's when I heard her properly for the first time. I could feel it. Her pain, her confusion, her crying. It hurt me knowing me she was like this up there, alone. Everything about her, her looks, touch, scent. It just drew me in to her. I took a deep breath and walked away.
