Josh and Rans were on their way nang biglang mag ring nag cellphone ni Josh.

"Montefiore Medical Center?" Josh's eyebrows furrowed nang mabasa ang caller. 

"Sagutin mo nalang, baka na wrong dial or whatsoever." Rans rolled her eyes, Josh shrugged his shoulders and just answered the call.

"Yes? Josh Cullens speaking." Josh answered the call habang nag da-drive.

"Are you related to Gabrielle Skribikin?" A female voice asked.

"Yes, why?" Mas lalong napakunot ang noo ni Josh nang banggitin nito ang pangalan ni Gabb.

"She's currently at the operating room, we will talk things out as soon as you arrive here. Thank you." Napa preno naman si Josh sa narinig.

"Ano ba?!" Reklamo ni Rans sa biglaang pag preno ni Josh. "Umayos ka ng--"

"Shut up!" He shouted and maneuvered the car.

"Bakit ba sumisigaw ka?!" Rans yelled.

"Tumahimik ka, something bad happened to Gabb. Damn it!" He hissed at nagmamadaling nagmaneho papuntang Montefiore. Rans wasn't able to speak, para silang tinakasan ng lakas. 

"Bilisan mo na!" She commanded, Josh shook his head at pinaharurot na yung sasakyan. Ilang minuto lang, nakarating na sila sa hospital kung saan dinala si Gabb. They immediately went to the nurse station to ask.

"Gabb Skribikin please?" Josh said while tapping the nurse's table.

"At the OR, sir. Right then you turn left, at the last room." The nurse smiled. Hindi na nag aksaya ng panahon sina Josh at dali daling tinakbo ang OR. Tagak tagak ang pawis nila nang makarating sa harap ng operating room, sumilip si Josh sa may glass part ng pinto then he saw his friend lying with those tubes on her body.

"Fuck.." Napaupo si Josh sa harap ng OR. "Tangina, bakit ba kailangan pang umabot sa ganito.." Nanlulumong sabi nito at sinabunutan ang sarili. Napaupo naman si Rans sa steel chairs, she can't handle the nervousness and pain she's feeling right now. 

"Who's Josh Santos?" A nurse came out from the OR. Dali daling nagpunas ng luha si Josh saka tumayo para harapin yung nurse.

"I am." He said, trying to be strong. "What happened to her?" 

"A netizen said that.." The nurse looked at the paper she's holding. "A truck bumped into her car which caused head to head car accident. We also have the footage, come with me if you want to see it." The nurse put her facemask back. Josh nodded, tinignan nito si Rans. The latter smiled, ayaw niyang iwan si Gabb kaya hindi na siya sumama kina Josh.

Sumama si Josh sa nurse. Nang makarating sila sa isang room, the nurse played the footage. Kitang kita ni Josh kung gaano kabilis ang patakbo ni Gabb, at kitang kita niya rin na nasa linya ang sasakyan ni Gabb kaya hindi siya ang may kasalanan kung bakit nagkaroon ng aksident.

Kitang kita niya kung paano bumangga ang truck sa sasakyan ni Gabb, good thing at may mga nakakita at nagtawag ng ambulance. 

Nanlulumong bumalik si Josh sa may OR, she saw Rans crying. Dahan dahan itong lumapit at niyakap si Rans, he kissed her temple to make her feel that everything's gonna be alright. Josh is the typical type of boy bestfriend that everyone wants to have.
