" you're skipping school again? "
" i'm not even a real student, ease up a little. " y/n pulled the piece of toast out of her mouth, " besides, im not even intending to return back. "

jaemin opened his mouth so mention something but y/n talked over him, " yes, yes i have taeyong's approval already. " replying him almost as if she had read his mind.

jaemin turned away, walking in the direction of nct's basement with the black key card in hand, biding y/n a temporary goodbye as he headed to train.

" aren't you going to eat breakfast? " y/n called out. she received a wave of his hand and a ' i'm not hungry. ' as a response.

it felt her feeling kind of weird. it just didn't fit right. jaemin definitely didn't have the smallest appetite and the usual jaemin would at least have his coffee before anything else.

" come to think of it, jaemin does look like he had lost quite a bit of weight. "

with chenle missing, probably already back in the base, and only a handful of students and staff left minding their own business. dino and jisung's secret operation somewhat planned out, they both decided that today was the best opportunity and a day like this should never go to waste.

he knocked on the door out of respect, waiting for a second before entering the principal's office without approval, dino really couldn't give a fuck. he was sure that the principal stuffed something into his drawer before glancing up to the student.

" you are? "
" park sunghoon, from criminology, " dino introduced, " i would like to ask a question that i have been really curious about. "

the principal looked somewhat confused with his statement, allowing him to ask the question both of them had been wondering for about a week now:

" do you know how the very unfortunate student from computer science died? what was her name? ah yes sakura, " he watched how the principal's eyes darted to a particular spot in his office, " was it an accident? suicide? or murder? how did she die? "

jisung and dino knew that any normal principal would or might be somewhat calm and if the principal were to panic, he must have known something that anyone else wouldn't.

" may i ask what it's for? "
" investigation sir. "

the principal leaned his back to the chair, " why don't you ask your teacher? "
" what does my teacher have to do with this sir? " dino questioned, sounding as curious as he could.

the principal looked done with all the questions he needed to answer.

" well, mr choi chul woo have been doing something against the school's rules and regulations with that student, he should know what he had done to- " the principal paused, a single bead of sweat rolling down the side of his head, even when they were in a 20 degree air conditioned room, " nothing, just go and ask your professor yourself. "

" choi chul woo, you say? i thought he told us that his surname was lee. " dino picked out, choi chul woo was indeed a member of wolf crew. Dino wondered if he was actually dumb enough to give his real name to the principal.

just on time as they planned, the door opened and a frantic looking jisung came in, asking the principal for " help " as a teacher had " fainted "- it was after school hours afterall there weren't many people.

in reality, " help " was just to get the principal away from the office while dino search through his documents and the teacher " fainting " was actually just jisung knocking a random teacher out cold.

as the principal's departure, leaving dino to search through piles of papers.

" choi... choi... oh whats the other teacher's name again? ah yes kang jooyul... " dino mumbled to himself as he pulled out a couple of documents. though he wasn't exactly sure if he was supposed to take the hard copy of the information or the soft copy one, he decided to just take the soft copy one, afterall, they could always ask one of the members to print it out if needed.

dino returned all the documents to place, only taking two printed pictures of the teachers when they were younger. he snuck a glance at their faces then that was when he recalled. the familiarity of their criminology teacher, where he and y/n had both seen him, where-

dino had stood there and spaced out for a while when his back got harshly pushed on the wooden desk. staring at a face that could not even been seen, he knew who it was of course. the only person who stood at one corner, with his face all covered up. he had a gun in hand, and his grip on dino was loose,

dino could tell clearly that he was inexperienced, very.

who even gave this boy training? dino questioned in his head, ripping his gun out of his hands in an instant and pinning him on the table instead. the masked's hands held securely behind his back and his own gun now in the hands of dino and was being pointed at him.

" so youre one of wolf crew's too huh? who are you? "
" as if i'll tell you, " the boy spat, " let me go. "
" as if i would do that, " dino smirked, " goodnight child. "

and he was knocked out.

dino spun around when he heard the door opened and was relieved to find that it was only jisung who opened the door.

" whats this? " jisung referred to the knocked out man, bending down to remove the mask that hid his lower half from view, " he has good facial features. " he commented innocently.

" is that important now? " dino shook his head slightly as he texted his gang's getaway driver, minghao, to come pick them up.

" we should get out of here, you have what we need right? " jisung picked the younger up, for someone as slim as the unknown, it was no surprise that he was really light.

dino eyed jisung, " would you be okay carrying him? "

" yeah yeah im fine, just make sure no one sees us. "
