Chapter 11

 I barely reached party island on time. Sapnap never would've let me live it down if I had shown up late. "Hey [y/n]!" He called from the party island.

"Hi!" I call back. I approach the gate to see his stupid smiling face. He's sitting down on a blanket in front of the bench with the usual sandwiches and some chocolate chip cookies. He pats the blanket motiononing for me to sit down next to him.

"How was your visit with tommy?" He asks. I got closer to him and realized he was covered with dirt.

"Never mind that you need a bath." I tell him and giggle. He looks himself over and shrugs.

"I didn't have time to wash up. I washed my hands so I could get lunch and came here." He explains. His facial expression changes as he gets an idea. "We could go for a swim" He says.

"No- that's ok." I begin to say.

"C'mon it will be fun." He begs. I looked over to the water, it seemed calm. I wasn't that strong of a swimmer though and he knew that. When I was little techno wilbur and I went out and techno taught me how to swim. We went on a few adventures to the beach near our childhood home until I had an incident where I almost drowned. Thankfully philza, wilbur, and techno were there but it traumatized me. I only ever swim when necessary now. Sapnap was one of the few I'd told this story.

"I don't know." I say. Sapnap frowns.

"I won't let anything happen to you. I don't want to pressure you but just know as long as you're near I won't let you get hurt." He assures. "You can even wear my t-shirt, I have a spare in my bag." He says.

"If you can promise you will stay near me." I say. He nods.

"It will be fun." He assures me. "Here." he pulls off his shirt and tosses it to me. He takes off his black undershirt, then his belt, and pants leaving just his boxers. I feel my face turn red. He laughs. "Privacy much?" He says smiling. It was evident that he didn't care but I still felt bad.

"Sorry." I mutter.

"[y/n], it's ok I was kidding." He says. He turns around so I can change. I take off my shoes and jacket then my shirt and pants. I pull his shirt over my head and tap him on the shoulder. When he sees me his face turns a little red. "Ready?" He asks. I nod and we walk to the beach area so we can go to the water.

He steps in first and I giggle as all the dirt and grime that he had accumulated from farming came off in a ring around him on the water. "Gross." I say, still smiling.

"Just give it a second." He says. He moves around a bit waiting for the dirt to dissipate. Then he swims away from his dirt and motions for me to get in the water with him. I step in the water slowly. He held my waist and I held on to his shoulders. He led me in and when the water hit my collar bone I panicked. He saw me become upset so he pulled me close to him and I wrapped my legs around his waist. "I have you." He cooed.

"Okay." I say. I sigh and bury my face in his neck.

"Hey it's ok." He says. We were still in water that was low enough to stand in. He held me as he walked further out. I was terrified because I knew if he put me down he may be tall enough to stand with his head above water but I definitely wasn't. He held me close and I felt safe. He pulled away enough to look me in the eyes. "If I let you go will you be able to handle yourself? I'll be right here if anything goes wrong." He says. I nod. I can do this. I know how to swim, and if I need to, I have sapnap. Sapnap slowly and gently releases me. I take a deep breath and move my legs and arms how techno taught me.

"See you're doing it!" Sapnap says cheering me on. I smile at him. "Here follow me." He says. He swims a little distance away and I follow close behind. "LOOK AT YOU [y/n]!" he yells. We swam around the island for a bit before I got tired and we came back to eat. He helped me on the island and we ate for a bit. I told him about my visit with Tommy and he tells me about farming with George and dreams.

"Ya know they both talked about how much fun hanging out with you was." He says.

"Is that so?" I respond. We'd both finished our food by then and were in the grass. I was leaning against the tree with his head in my lap. I played with his hair as we talked.

"Yeah. They both said they wanted you to hang out more." He says.

"I liked hanging out with them too." I say.

"I was asked to invite you to something as well." He continues. He sighs as if what he was about to say was stressful.

"Go on." I tell him. I begin to braid his hair as he speaks.

"Dream is organizing a meeting with some of the more important people on the smp. Those who may be considered leaders." He begins. Leaders? How was I an leader. "Or that he feels represent a part of the smp. He wants to bring them together to discuss the tension, i guess. To try and make peace and I hope to give a serious apology."

"Better be." I say.

"Agreed. So far he's planning on inviting wilbur, philza, techno, you, eret, me, Sam, and Bad." He tells me.

"Why me?" I ask.

"If i'm being honest, I'm not sure. He says it's because he feels it would be good to have you on behalf of the teenagers. But I don't think that's the whole reason." He admits.

"Well I'll have you so I don't mind going. When is it?" I ask.

"In 2 nights from now." He says. I finish my braid and take it out to make a new one. I bend down and kiss his nose making him giggle.
