We walk a short distance towards the school building. As we get closer I see the little middle schoolers run into the building so they aren't late. I shake my head and laugh. I remember being like that when I was in middle school. They used to be on our ass if we were late smh.

"𝐻𝑒𝑦 𝑄'𝑎𝑛𝑛𝑎 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑎 𝑔𝑜𝑜𝑑 𝑑𝑎𝑦!"

Before I could respond I look to the right of me to see an random middle schooler eagerly waving at me. My ass cant see very well so I'm squinting and I peep that it's Jontevian. I guess you can say I'm his highschool crush. Literally everyday he says hi to me lol. So I don't seem rude I wave back with a smile.

"𝑄 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝑡ℎ𝑎𝑡 𝑙𝑖𝑙 𝑛𝑖𝑔𝑔𝑎?"

I turn to Jr, "no Jr I don't know him I just didn't want to be rude he always says hi to me" .

"𝑂ℎ 𝑎𝑖𝑖 𝑗𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑚𝑎𝑘𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑠𝑢𝑟𝑒"

I shake my head at him. We all finally reach inside and it's mad heads in here today. I'm surprised because when it rains mostly everyone is absent. I scan the crowd to see if I see Chi but I don't see her. "ℎ𝑚𝑚 𝑚𝑎𝑦𝑏𝑒 𝑠ℎ𝑒𝑠 𝑖𝑛 𝑡ℎ𝑒 𝑐𝑎𝑓𝑒". I shake out of my thoughts and put my bag and stuff through the metal detectors. I'm almost half way through the metal thing and it starts beeping.

I hold my laughter as it's my favorite school security guard. "𝐺𝑜𝑜𝑑 𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑀𝑠.𝐷, 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑘𝑛𝑜𝑤 𝑖 𝑑𝑜𝑛𝑡 ℎ𝑎𝑣𝑒 𝑎𝑛𝑦𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑜𝑛 𝑚𝑒. 𝑌𝑜𝑢 𝑗𝑢𝑠𝑡 𝑠𝑎𝑤 𝑚𝑒 𝑝𝑢𝑡 𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑚𝑦 𝑠𝑡𝑢𝑓𝑓 𝑢𝑝"

I kiss my teeth again and roll my eyes sarcastically, if it's anything I hate it's going through these mf metal detectors.

"𝑆𝑒𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑙𝑎𝑡𝑒𝑟 𝑀𝑠.𝐷!"

I grab my stuff and wait at the entrance of the cafe for Jr and everyone else. They quickly finish and we walk into the cafe. It's hella loud but as it should be because there's mad people in here.

"Q'𝐴𝑁𝑁𝐴! 𝐵𝑅𝐼𝑁𝐺 𝑌𝑂 𝐵𝐸𝐻𝐼𝑁𝐷 𝐻𝐸𝐴 𝑅𝐼𝐺𝐻𝑇 𝑁𝑂𝑊!"

Me and Jr snap our heads in the direction of where I was being called and I see It's Chi. I grab some fruit from the little basket and head her direction. As we get closer I see she's smiling from ear to ear.

"𝐺𝑖𝑟𝑙 𝑤ℎ𝑦 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑎𝑖𝑛𝑡 𝑐𝑎𝑙𝑙 𝑚𝑒 𝑡ℎ𝑖𝑠 𝑚𝑜𝑟𝑛𝑖𝑛𝑔 𝑎𝑛𝑑 𝑤ℎ𝑦 𝑎𝑟𝑒 𝑦𝑜𝑢 𝑠𝑚𝑖𝑙𝑖𝑛𝑔 ℎ𝑎𝑟𝑑?" I asked her.
