"Me and you is all i've ever know"
♥"Jungkook let me explain," No longer in a pleasant tone Jimin dragged Jungkooks arm almost tugging him to sit back down. The younger boy only stayed silent but soon complied.
Jungkook almost like a toddler sat back in his seat with his arms crossed and what looked like a pout of irritation spread across his lips.
"What is he talking about min," Jungkook questioned with his eyebrows furrowed.
It was confusing, not the conversation, but how quickly Jungkooks manner changed. Previously he was practically worshipping Jimin, but once again seemed disgusted.
"First off, we are in public. Second, I was going to tell you that Namjoon invited me to join the band... as the main singer." A pit of nerves built up in Jungkooks stomach, he was confident in himself, but somehow Jungkook at times always made him feel small.
His lips now pressed into a thin line Jungkook nodded, "I'm sorry," He apologized as he looked up and made eye contact with Jimin.
"Yoongi helped me produce my class project and it went well. He wants me to perform with them at the spring concert, because it would be huge for them- for me too Jungkook." Perhaps time stopped, but the noisy cafe felt silent and empty. It was as if only the two of them were there, staring to each others eyes listening.
"Can I hear it?" Jungkook asked softly now.
"What?"
"Your song"
With a lump caught in his through Jimin nodded, but felt a bundle of emotions build up in his chest.
They say music is a language, but one that many can't understand. The lyrics are the surface level, but ask any musician and they will always explain how music goes beyond the notes. It's the pain one goes through to develops this message. Music is intimate, but Jimin was willing to share it.
They didn't stay long at the cafe after. The pair walked back to Jimin's dorm, but they were silent the whole way there. Neither wanting to break the tension really.
The short walk ended in the two walking into Jimin's dorm. Taehyung had a lecture Jimin assumed since he wasn't home. Jimin led Jungkook to his bedroom gesturing for him to sit in his bed as he rummaged through his closet to get his guitar.
Stiffly sitting on Jimins bed Jungkook looked around analyzing the posters and decorations Jimin had up. It was cute they were photos of him and tae, some kpop posters, and post-it notes with classic inspirational quotes. He kept his room decently cleaned and has minimalistic furniture along with yellow themed bedsheets.
Jungkooks on the other hand was quite opposite as he had rock posters on his wall, his bed was always undone and the floor would be covered with something. He could only think to himself "how different are we"
"Alright, I got my guitar so just- uh sit back and listen."
Jimin softly spoke as he walked closed to where Jungkook was sitting so he could sit across from him on the desk. It's funny how just earlier today they were happily tangled together, but now seem like strangers.
Perhaps they were both lying to one another about their true selves or maybe they didn't realize they were.
Sitting at his desk soundly Jimin soon began to hum the melody of the same song her performed for his class. The guitar strokes blended with the harmony like smooth butter. His fingers danced across the strings.
