Jimin wasn't sure exactly what brought him the courage to ambush Jungkook's apartment at night right after band practice, but he also knew if he didn't... he wouldn't sleep at night. He was walking home from practice and was left rethinking the past weeks he's experienced. Only dating for about two months, but knowing each other for more than 2 years everything felt like it was going to be okay. So when the pages of his perfect fairytale begin to be ripped out right in front of him, he can't stand by and watch.
So he ran. Correction, Jimin took the subway for 10 minutes then ran to Jungkook's apartment near campus. He lugged his guitar and was sweaty, but could careless. His body was fueled with adrenaline, anger, and frustration.
However, the second he heard his name exit Jungkook's mouth all the courage he built up on his way here disappeared. Jungkook was his weakness, the way he called out his name sounded like angels singing to Jimin.
Don't be stupid.
Previously storming right into Jungkook's living room Jimin finally turned around to face the boy. He looked nice, but also unrecognizable. How was it that in a short span of a few days all the progress they've made disappeared. Jungkook's eyes no longer were soft and captivating, but a dark hole that was empty.
"Jimin- what are you doing here?" Jungkook asked puzzled and worried.
"Don't do that," Jimin breathed out before coming his hands into his hair. "Don't play dumb Jungkook!" His voice was shaky. With every muscle in his body Jimin fought back his want to fall to the ground and cry right now.
"Listen Jimin it's a misunderstanding-"
"Stop," Cheeks wet, he hadn't even realized he was crying. Jimin bit his lip and spoke out once more, "Think about this... because if you lie to my face Jungkook, I'm walking out that door. I'm not wasting my time anymore."
Jungkook approached Jimin slowly, his hands roaming his cheeks as he willed the tears that rolled down them. Maybe there was hope?
"I promise," There it was, the smile that captivated Jimin. The same one that would break his heart. "Nothing happened."
Possibly it was this moment where Jimin had an awakening. All his life he has allowed himself to be overshadowed, lied to, and belittled. Not anymore and especially not now.
"I really believed you changed." Jimin said in a whisper like voice before he gripped Jungkook's hand and ripped it away from his cheek. Grabbing his guitar case Jimin pushed himself out of Jungkooks grip. His footsteps felt heavy, but he forced his body to move.
Before Jimin could make it to the door, however Jimin felt a hand grip his waist.
"Jimin wait!" The other spoke as he pulled him back towards him. It wasn't until know Jimin noticed the smell of alcohol lingering in his breath. Looking around he saw the bottles on the coffee table and curtains closed most likely to not disturb a hung over Jungkook.
"You're fucking drunk, now let go of me." His words were like poison as he spoke firmly and the hands soon released him. It wasn't easy for him to leave.
