DC shut down after the 6/5 meeting 

It was the first time he ever left the Statehouse to have his shutdown 

AND the first time his boyfriends knew he had a habit of it

DC told him it was an old habit he learned when his dad was really pissed and DC wanted to avoid a beating

The states didn't mean to drive him to a shutdown, they just wanted their old DC back. The one who was softer but also could stand up to his boss. 

But Trump broke him down so hard, he was a shell of his former self
