"Nice swimwear Kat, badass," Aisha said complementing my skeleton bathing suit, sandals, and beach towel. "Thanks, Hawk surprised me with them. He wanted us to match," I said smiling.
"I don't really care for the look, it's just not you," Demi said earning a glare from Hawk. Demi shook it off and grabbed a Cobra Kai logo volleyball and hit it onto the net. Currently, we were playing volleyball with Aisha and me vs Demi and Hawk.
"Mulligan, send it back," Demi said. "There's no mulligans in volleyball," Hawk said. "Say's you, water break," Demi said as he walked away from the game to the cooler. Hawk shook his head as Demi walked away.
As Demi was using a Cobra Kai beach towel a couple of girls walked by and stopped at him. "Cobra Kai? You guys won that karate tournament right?" One of them asked. Demi slowly lowered the towel from his face and looked around.

"The All Valley? The Rumble in Reseda? Yes, uh... We, uh... We certainly did," Demi said as he leaned his arm and body against one of the volleyball poles. For some reason, Hawk had a sour look on his face.
"Cool, we're gonna go for a swim, but maybe play with you later?" She asked. "Pfft...Mos def. Uh, that means most definitely," Demi said earning a giggle from one of the girls as they left.
I laughed and walked up to Demi. "Look at you player," I said as I lightly bumped him. Hawk gave him a slight glare and spoke up. "It'd be nice if you earned the Cobra Kai cred you're so happy to take." "Yeah, when are you going to join?" Aisha asked.
"Guys come on, he doesn't have to be Cobra Kai to hang out with us," I said as I took a sip of my water. "Yeah, but look how that turned out with Sam and Robby," Aisha said.
"Look, I don't know. I'm kind of enjoying the gain without the pain," Demi replied. "Hey guys," Miguel said as he finally joined us. Miguel and Hawk did their usual 'bro shake' and Hawk noticed his gloomy demeanor.
"No, no more of this. Look, it's a beautiful day out. The beach is packed with babes." Hawk said as he turned to me and smirked. I blushed and looked down and he continued on. "No more sulking about Sam."
"I'm not sulking about Sam, it's about Sensei," Miguel said. "What about Sensei?" Aisha asked. "Is it about his rap sheet? My parents read it online, I think it makes him more badass," Hawk said.
"It's about him and Robby Keene," Miguel answered. "What about Robby Keene?" I asked now interested. "Robby Keene is Sensei's son," Miguel said and my eyes widened. "Look we can all confront Sensei next time we're at Cobra Kai, but please I really want a day without drama," I begged.
"KitKat's right, a drama-free day at the beach would be beneficial," Demi said. "Good, now let's all grab some snowcones it's on me," I said and headed towards the snowcone stand.
"Hey gorgeous, what will you be having?" The snowcone guy asked. "I'll have a medium Tiger's Blood please, and my friends will take a-" I said and turned to everyone. "I, her boyfriend, will take a medium Toxic Waste," Hawk said to the guy.
"I'll take a medium Tutti Fruitti," Aisha said. "I would like to have a medium of your finest Aloha Hawaiis," Demi said. "I'll just have a small Banana Blast," Miguel said. I gave the guy my card and everyone grabbed their snowcone.
"Mmmm so good. Babe let me try yours," I said. "Sorry Princess this one is all mine," Hawk joked. I smirked grabbing my credit card and shook it at him. "Fine," Hawk said as he grabbed his straw and held it for me.
"Ooh, this one tastes even better!" I said and Hawk laughed. "I'd be careful sharing straws, Kat, the chances of contracting his bacteria is less than desirable," Demi said.
"Demi we kiss, his bacteria is already in my mouth," I said as I laughed and grossed him out. "Stay quiet back there, you're lucky you even got invited," Hawk said as he wrapped his arm around my shoulder.
After everyone finished their snowcones we headed out to the water. I unwrapped my towel from my waist and insecurely tried to hide my scar. Even with Hawk, Demi, Aisha, and Miguel knowing I still was embarrassed.
Everyone swam out to the deeper section and I stayed by the shore. "Kat, what's wrong?" Hawk called out to me. "I um, I can't swim," I admitted. "But you went to the beach club with Sam that one time," Hawk said confused.
"Yeah, but I always stayed where I could stand up in the water," I replied. Hawk gave me a slight smile and picked me up bridal style. He walked into the water and joined the others. "You know KitKat, I could teach you to swim, I'm like a fish," Demi stated.
"Maybe in a little while," I said. I really enjoyed being in Hawk's arms and didn't want to leave. "You could've said something, I would've brought a floatie," Aisha said. I shrugged and everyone began to splash each other.
"I have an idea let's play chicken," Hawk said. "Kat's with me!" Aisha chimed. "I got Miguel," Hawk said. "Of course I'm the one left out," Demi said. "I'll be on your side after okay?" I said to Demi. Hawk gave Demi a death stare as I got on Aisha's shoulders and tried to balance myself.
Miguel got on Hawk's shoulders and we started to try and push the other off. "You're going down Kat," Miguel said. "You wish Miggy," I said and pushed him back. Miguel regained his balance and then sent me flying into the water.
A pair of arms wrapped around my waist and pulled me to the surface. When I opened my eyes I saw Demi starring back at me. "Don't worry Kat I got ya," He said. "Uh, thanks Demi," I said. I got up onto Demi's shoulders and Hawk got up onto Miguel's.
"You better go easy on me Hawk," I said. Hawk said nothing just smirked. Well, this is how I die. As soon as I went for Hawk he grabbed me and kicked Demi's torso making him fall under the water. Hawk caught me and fell back, keeping me in his arms. When Hawk pulled us to the surface I spoke. "Oh my God, that was crazy."
"That was sick Hawk," Aisha said. "Wow, Eli real mature. You know that's not how you're supposed to play," Demi said when he came up. "It's Hawk, and that's how I play," Hawk said with a smirk.
"Okay guys, I think the testosterone is getting the better of you two. Let's get going it's going to get cold and dark soon," I said and Hawk carried me to shore. "Here you go Princess," Hawk said as he wrapped my beach towel around me. "Thanks, babe. Hey Demi, thanks for coming with us," I said.
"Thanks for having me KitKat. Aisha and Miguel a pleasure," Demi said purposely leaving Hawk out. "Alrighty bye," I chimed before Hawk could say anything and led him to the car.
