"Demi what are they doing here?" I asked as I saw Sam and Robby at a table a good distance away. "Kat before we go over there I need to talk to you. It's really important," Demi said.
"Sure what's going on?" I asked. "I decided I would give Cobra Kai another shot," Demi said and my eyes sparkled. "Oh Demi that's great-" I started saying until he stopped me. "I went to the dojo and the only person there was a guy with a snake tattoo."
"I was talking to him and out of nowhere, he assaulted me. I had to go to the hospital and get stitches," Demi confessed. I looked at him with a painful and angry expression. "Demi I'm so sorry, why didn't you tell me sooner?" I asked.
"Because I know you're still in Cobra Kai and I didn't want to risk our friendship," Demi said. "Well, I'm glad you told me. I always had a feeling there was something up with him. Look I'll talk to Sensei Lawrence about it, he's changed a little for the better," I said.
"Kat there's something else," Demi said as he scratched the back of his neck. My eyebrow perked up waiting for his confession. "I also joined Miyagi-Do," Demi said and my eyes widened. "After what they did to my dojo, to me?" I asked disappointed.
"KitKat, I just want to be able to protect myself. There's some stuff I'm going through that I'll tell you about later. Let's go sit with Sam and Robby, maybe we can all talk things out," Demi said as he put his hand on my shoulder in a friendly manner and guided me to their table.
"You know Demi you have me to protect you right? I won't let anything happen to my binary best friend," I said as I sat down at the table changing my demeanor from friendly to cautious.
"Hey Kat, I'm glad you decided to stay. Look I just wanted to apologize for the beach club and Valley Fest. It was wrong of me to take anyone's side and to suggest what Hawk did," Sam said.
"And I'm sorry for talking about you when I tried to get Hawk to fight me," Robby said. "And don't forget the dessert table, trying to get me to leave my dojo, making a commercial and dissing Cobra Kai," I added.
"What about sabotaging our performance at Valley Fest?" Sam asked. "That was only after your dad attacked our dojo," I replied. "He didn't attack you guys," Sam added. "No? 'Snake in the grass'? Real subtle," I said.
"He's just trying to do the right thing," Sam confessed. "What so Cobra Kai is wrong?" I asked getting annoyed. "Hey, I'm gonna go grab our food. Kat, I also got you a chicken sandwich with pickles, and ketchup on it, and a chocolate milkshake," Demi said awkwardly.
"Thanks, Demi," I said not taking my eyes off Sam. "I'm gonna help him with that," Robby said and quickly got up to join Demi. "It's not wrong it's just," Sam sighed. "What are we doing? It's our summer vacation."
