I can't seem to get your name out of my mouth
I spit and chew
I laugh, I chat
I wash my mouth
with minty time
I cry (and cry)
I yell, I chant
I floss through
memories entwined
with you and yours
I thrash, I can't
keep bleeding from
my gums and spine
I swallow hard
I puke, I catch
this tongue of mine
as it reaches out
to form the name I can't keep out of my mouth
