Never in her entire 20 years of living had she ever been so lost of words. To say she was shocked was an understatement. She tried to convince herself that what she had just heard was what her mind made up but why would her mind even do that? At the moment it was hard to think straight. Now even more that Denovan's face was just an inch away from her's. Literally one move from anyone of them would make there lips touch. And for some unknown reason she wanted to move closer. It almost felt like there some kind of an invisible force trying so hard to pull her closer to him. He liked her? He wanted her? Was this for real? Did her ears really take in the correct words. This was impossible. Denovan De Luca , the Italian mafia, the cold blooded killer, the man with no heart but a stone had just openly admitted to her that he liked her and wanted to claim her as his.
He was obviously sick or drunk but his scent didn't stink of alcohol. He seemed perfectly fine with a determined look on his face. Followed by a look of hunger as he gazed at her parted lips.
The room felt hot. Her breathing became rapid and so did her heart beats. She couldn't understand what was going on. Why were his words affecting her so much. Logan had once told her his feelings towards her but she couldn't registrar ever feeling the way she felt now.
The door suddenly opened and Mia immediately pushed Denovan away. Looking at the door. Mirabelle and a three nurses walked in and rushed towards Mia. Checking her vitals and heart rate. " What did you do " Mirabelle said as she glared at Denovan. Denovan didn't even spare her a look but in stead he looked at Mia for a few seconds and than walked away.
