Mia didn't respond but only looked at him with a stunned look on her face. Clearly she maybe didn't hear him correctly.
" Am sorry what? She asked.
Denovan looked at her for a few seconds, studying her face then replied.
" Go on a date with me.......if you want to make a phone call" he said with no emotion on his face.
Mia kept on looking at him not knowing what to say. This was the first time she was being asked out by a guy and she always imagined it would happen in a romantic way. But unfortunately for her , nothing about this moment was romantic. He was giving her an unfair ultimatum. Either she agrees to go on a date with him to make a phone call.
Or
She doesn't agree to go on a date with him which obviously also meant no phone call.
Sighing, she now understood what Cleo meant when she once said that nothing is for free in this world.

"So...how did it go" Emily's voice startled her as she entered her room.
" Oh my God Em you scared me" Mia said with her hands on her racing heart.
Emily only chuckled in response and snuggled more into Mia's soft blanket.
" sorry" Emily responded with a lazy smile on her lips.
Mia sighed and walked towards her bed. Removed her shoes and layed down next to Emily.
" Why are you even in my room. Aren't you supposed to be with Kayden" Mia asked with a curiousity.
Lately she had started to worry about Emily. She had noticed the little excuses she used to spend time with her just to avoid Kayden. Something was definitely wrong between the two of them , but she didn't want to ask her about it, thinking it was a private matter that needed to be solved by the two.
" I don't know where he is but his probably doing his mafia duties. I don't want to bother him........ I went to Cleo's room but she wasn't there either , am sure she's with Vincenzo and as for Alexis. Well let's just say that she and Drew are a little bit............... occupied in her room" Emily explained with a disgusted look as she said the last part of her sentence.
