Nice name

Nicknames: Mad Bomber of Iwagakure

That name sounds really good and dangerous. It makes me wonder if he may know Deidara.

Oh so he's older than the Naruto group, and by it a lot it seems. Really cool.

Appearance: Guren is a tall and thin man, with amber eyes, slightly pale skin, and long black hair. His hair is tied back in a ponytail and fastened with two small red beads, one by the base and one at the end of the ponytail. A strand of hair hangs over the left side of his face. Guren wears the standard Iwagakure flak jacket with the larger front pouch switched out for a smaller, slightly taller one. He wears a black clothed forehead protector, a dark grey, almost black, outfit underneath the flak jacket with the right sleeve missing, and a black lapel over his left leg. Guren has opted to wear metal shin-guards over his standard shinobi sandals. Bandages hiding retractable blades are present from his wrist to the elbow on both arms. His reasoning for choosing to switch out the red colour of the standard Iwa-shinobi uniform, is nothing other than practicality, as he sees it as being easier to hide the traces of his work in the Explosion Corps with a darker colour. Over the years his appearance doesn’t change much aside from general signs of age.

This is amazing, he has the charms of Iwagakure in his appearance and has things in his appearance that aid him in being a bomber and hide his trace. This is what I call a true ninja. Your descriptive skills are also amazing, I can picture his outfit perfectly from this description.

Personality: Guren is a calculating and methodical man who is driven by the mindset of “survival of the fittest”. Despite genuinely respecting people, his mindset has over the years led him to care little for the human lives affected or lost as a consequence of conflicts that arise around him. He holds himself accountable to this mindset as well, gladly putting his own existence on the line, as he sees his own death simply meaning that he was not fit to survive. As he is aware that many wouldn’t understand his way of thinking he tends to hide it behind a polite and charming façade.
Guren enjoys his work, having earned himself the nickname “Mad Bomber of Iwagakure” due to this enjoyment combined with his personality and actions. He sees the explosions he creates as beautiful and measures them in scale, destructive capability, and sound, the sound being the most important criteria of the three. This has given him a keen ear for explosives, but has also caused him to suffer from chronic tinnitus due to his near constant close proximity to extremely loud sounds. Despite his mindset he is not incapable of forming relationships with other people. He considers his two bodyguards, Arashi and Sōta, to be the closest he can get to friends, and he came to see Gari as a sort of father figure during his tutelage to the now deceased Captain of the Explosion Corps. Though he will not allow his relationship to interfere with a mission or something he sees as his responsibility. Despite having regarded Deidara as something akin to a younger brother during their shared time in the Explosion Corps and still referring to him as such, this does not stop him from seeing the missing-nin’s apprehension or death as his responsibility as the current Captain of the Explosion Corps.
