More urgent footsteps reach the crime scene.
"What the-" Hikaru inhales sharply "Takita-kun."
"Okay, okay, who the hell is-" Kaori doesn't finish her question, falling silent for a moment before she mutters "That... that's a whole lot of blood."
"Huh... another one." Mai says, before yawning and rubbing some sleep from her eyes "That announcement was loud..."
"How can you think about sleep right now...?" Hachiro whispers.
"Chill out, clown boy." Mai sighs, leaning against the wall "Does your brain fully register stuff when you're tired? No? Thought so."
Mai does indeed look ready to collapse.
"Ooh, finally a murder that's nice and bloody. Kudos to the culprit!" Monokuma pipes up, his cheerful attitude contrasting sharply with the solemness and shock on the faces of the participants.
"You already knew about it, asshole, drop the act." Kaori hisses, carefully stepping forward to not disturb the crime scene too much.
"We should start investigating." Ryoko reminds everyone "Cry later."
Youta takes a breath, adjusting his mask "Monokuma, you have the file already prepared, right?"
"Of course! Can't leave you newbie investigators running around like a bunch of headless chickens." Monokuma smiles, looking a little too pleased with himself, still "The Monokuma file for this case has already been added to the tab on your Monopads. Be sure to put it to good use!"
Juro presses his lips together, but digs up his Monopad from his backpack to look at the file.
His friend died, that's true, but he still has to make sure they don't all die themselves if they fail to identify the culprit.
Like all Monokuma files, information on Daichi is presented here, along with a picture of him with the world "dead" plastered over it. The sketch that is shown of his body has a large pink spot that covers his entire neck, as well as a smaller spot on the abdomen.
The victim is Takita Daichi, the Ultimate School Idol.
The body was discovered in the cafetaria of the main building, not far from the door.
The estimated time of death is 11:04 pm.
The cause of death is oxygen depletion of the brain, which was caused by a deep cut to the victim's throat that severed both the wind pipe and the arteries and veins in the neck.
There are multiple other horizontal cuts on the victim's neck, although none of them reach quite as deep as the one that severed the wind pipe. There's also what appears to be a stab wound on the victim's abdomen.

Monokuma file: A detailed autopsy on Daichi's death.
Juro swallows the lump in his throat. A shiver runs down his spine at the detailed description of what sounds like a very bloody and gruesome death. It's unpleasant.
"Has anyone seen Eri?" Minoru asks the group, clearly desperate, snapping Juro out of his thoughts.
"She's not with you...?" Chinami asks.
"You two have been pretty much joined at the hip ever since the first trial. If anyone knows where Hanai is, it's you." Arisa adds, placing one hand on her hip.
"Well, I don't!" Minoru draws a shaky breath, his eyes landing on the bloody footprints in the cafetaria that lead to the kitchen. He pushes past the group, not seeming to care about possibly disturbing the crime scene "Eri!"
