Landing with a thud on the floor Sophie clasped her hand quickly over her mouth. Not at all was she expecting to actually apparate anywhere, only having done it once and in fact it wasn't quite far. It took Harry weeks to preform apparation, and to her surprise nobody was splinched.

"Since when have you been able to do that?" Sirius asked standing up and dusting the mud from his suit pants. "Last time I checked you never took the test."

"Only because I was busy," she scowled, standing up too she continued, "plus no one told me about them ether."

"Are we going to ignore the fact you just apparated to my old home," Remus said also standing up. "Sophie I hate to break it to you but this house hasn't been in use for years and there's no enchantment charms on here ether."

"Well it's perfectly ready to be in use again," she rugged walking over to the door. "As for enchantments me you and Sirius can put some up."

Sophie reached the door before digging deep into her cardigan pockets only to realise she had left the key at home, the house was supposed to be a surprise: a wedding present. "Erm," she faltered pulling out her wand, "accio door key!"

Minutes later a small silver sparkle came hurdling out of the tree's and towards the front door, Sophie ducked but raised her hand at the same time catching the racing key and unlocking the door with a click.

"What- Soph- I- I don't understand." Remus stuttered walking up to the front porch of the small cottage, "what's going on."

"Moony's lost for words and what he means is thank you." Sirius chortled following his new husband to the front of the house and peering into a window. "This my love," he tapped Remus's shoulder, "is where this young lady has been sneaking off too."

"How did you know?" Sophie asked turning back around to face the two men who were still dressed in formal suits, their hair matted and frizzy from the violent turn of events. "I haven't told anyone."

"Well you were sneaking off," he shrugged. "So one day when Remus was joining Arthur on order duty, I was turned down and bored out of my mind you came creeping past, incredibly early in the morning."

"So you followed me?" She asked raising her eyebrow.

"Precisely."

"Git," she mumbled under her breathe. "It was supposed to be a surprise."

"And one it is." Remus chuckled wrapping an arm around her in amusement. "Thank you Sophie this is great."

"Would be great if Harry was here." He mumbled.

"And your sure your okay?" Remus asked for the millionth time. It had been a few week since the havoc at their wedding and all three of them had returned to the Burrow the morning after to explain to them where they had been staying. Kingsley, Arthur, Remus and Sirius had all placed enchantments on the Lupin Cottage to protect them from any unwelcome death eaters.

Sophie had recited what happened between her and Mason and it became pretty clear that he was after her whether it was something to do with the dark lord or a plan of his own. She wasn't allowed to go far, she was to apparate to the Burrow during the day when Remus and Sirius were busy doing order business or Wizard Weasley Wheezes which was where Fred and George had ended up staying more often.

She had awoken early on the cold morning of the final day of August, wrapping a house coat around her firmly she slid on a pair of socks and ventured down the stairs to make up a cup of tea over the fire.

Just as she placed the kettle over the flames a strange trotting sounded from the front door, standing up and hugging her body she walked over to the door to see a bright silvery light prancing around on the porch: it was a misty stag.
