EXUDING STILLNESS

I was six years old when I got lost in a mall far from home. I joined my papa at a grocery in the closest mall, but it was located far away from where we live. I am following my papa wherever he goes and never left my eyes on him. I did not hold his hand as I was not used to it.

One time, I was mesmerized in a toy section near an arcade. I was not paying attention to my papa anymore as my eyes glued to a toy. Remembering that I was supposed to be at my father's side, I look around and never found him. I was scared, but I am an introvert who is afraid to disrupt the place by shouting or crying, so I decided to stay sane and plan my next move. I got lost, but I am still calm. I went to the parking lot and waited for my father to find me on his motorbike. However, it was not an easy task. As I was planning to get out of the parking lot, I have to find a way for the security guard to think that I am not lost - so I went together with a stranger acting like her daughter and stayed close to her until I can go out of the place, and I succeeded.

Treat stillness as a skill.
