STOLEN MONEY

I was seven years old when the money I saved was stolen by a thief - one of my classmates. It was the money given to me by my mother each time of the day. I was devastated, and I told my mother about it. She reported it to my teacher, but she was scolded because it was inappropriate for me in the first place to have that sum of money, so my mother was blamed instead of finding out who stole my savings.

I knew that my mother was blaming herself too. I knew she was contemplating what my teacher had said. However, it was not justifiable just to leave it like it was entirely her fault. Was it my bad that I was stolen? The case was, I was stolen and there was a thief! One of my classmates was the perpetrator, yet he/she was not apprehended! The teacher did not divulge further into it because she believed that I was not supposed to be trusted with that amount of money in the first place!

My mother, indeed, blamed herself and believe so up to this day. Imagine someone was blamed because they encountered a loss, instead of helping them find out the truth. This my friend, will become an unending cycle.
