Chapter 11

"Mukhang malakas ang tama sa'yo ni Hugo, ah." Mirae teased and I badly want to pull her hair for her comment if she is not on the other end of the call.

I rolled my eyes before leaning on my chair then I sighed. "He's not that into me if that's what you are thinking." Depensa ko dahil alam kong iba ang pinupunto nya.

"Weh?" Sabi nya bago malakas na tumawa kaya naman tuluyan na akong napikon.

"Kaibigan pala ni Hugo si Pier, ano?" I answered instead that made her silent.

I just knew that her former love interest is a dear friend of Hugo kaya may bala na ako kapag iniinis nya ako sa kanya but I don't have any plan on pushing her again to him. He's also as asshole as Hugo.

"Edi wow, Ivy. Edi wow." Pikon nyang sabi kaya ako naman ang malakas na tumawa.

"You know Althea, there's no point in building up the relationship Hugo and I have because in the end, we'll just end up using each other's bodies so love has no room between us." Walang buhay kong sabi dahil yun naman talaga ang totoo.

I keep on telling myself that all the things Hugo is doing for Sofia and for me are all for the sake of getting to fuck me.

"Sabi mo, eh." She replied and I just shook my head because of the disbelief in her tone. "Kumain ka na nga. Para kang affected sa ginagawa mo." Dagdag pa nya kaya pina-ikot ko ang mga mata ko.

"I'm not hungry and affected." I defended before ending the call.

Inis kong sinuklay ang buhok ko gamit ang kamay ko bago marahas na pumikit. I hate the fact that my mind keeps on replaying what Hugo said earlier. He makes it look like he is really into me and what I hate the most is that I am getting affected by that hallucination.

"Pull yourself together, Sierra Ivy. Marami ka ng naka-harap na mas gago pa kay Hugo kaya wag kang mag-padala sa kanya." Bulong ko sa sarili ko bago huminga nang malalim.

When I made sure that I got my confidence back, I stood and went out of my office just to get greeted by Hugo. I swallowed my urge to scream due to surprise and just glared at him instead. I gritted my teeth when I saw him looking at me innocently. If here are no students around, I already smacked his face hard.

"Why the hell are you still here?" Inis kong tanong pero sa mahinang boses lang dahil may mga estudyanteng pa-simple kaming pinapanuod.

This is one thing I hate in being a teacher. Everyone is watching your every move and you need to act like a saint all the time.

I almost fell on my knees when he left me and now he is here again to pester me. I really can't understand this man.

"Diba busy ka? So bakit nandito ka pa?" Dagdag ko pa bago sya linagpasan pero naramdaman ko ang pag-sunod na hanggang sa sabay na kaming nag-lalakad.

Mas lalo lang lumala ang pag-titig sa amin ng mga estudyante na may kasama pang mga bulungan. Lunch time kasi kaya marami-rami ang mga tao sa hallway and I am sure the gossip about my relationship with Hugo will worsen dahil marami ng witness.

"We'll eat our lunch together."

His statement made me stop abruptly then I faced him with a disgusted expression.

"Asa ka." Tanging sagot ko bago nag-lakad ulit pero mabilis nya akong nahabol.

I don't even have the appetite to eat so why the hell does he think that I will eat with him?

"Come on, Sierra. Sofia is already waiting in the car."

Mabilis ko syang liningon and I swear my glare can stab him to death.
