Chapter 6 - Human Again

– Time Skip A Week –

~ Ash's POV ~
It's almost a month that I've been a Pikachu, and now I'm being careful, because I know I may turn into a pikachu any minute from now, and it could be in the wrong moment so I'm trying to keep away from Gary a bit because I don't want to end up explaining to him what happened I'm going to be very embarrassed once he finds out I'm actually a human boy

~ Gary's POV ~
Ashy is acting super weird lately like this morning for instance
"Ashy come" I signaled at my lap
he blinked at me and went with Crystal
I hope he's not mad at me because of what happened last week although he was fine after but till now he's just acting weird it's really worrying me

I've been doing lots of ranging lately and Ashy has came along with me and has helped me tons which I appreciate

Something else has been bothering me though still about Ashy
I remember the first time I looked into his eyes we had a spark of connection and it makes me wonder what it is
it's weird I know he's a Pikachu but I feel like I care for him a lot but it's weird . . .  we have a weird connection . . .
I've always wondered if there's something Ashy may be hiding from me . . .

That night we went to sleep normally Ashy curled up next to me
"goodnight Ashy" I smiled petting his head lightly
"pika pi" he smiled sweetly, I may not speak Pikachu exactly but I know he said 'goodnight Gary'

The night became chilly since my room tends to get very cold or very hot always depends anyways I got up to get a extra blanket to keep us both nice and warm
I spent like maybe 10 minutes looking for a blanket and I turned around once I did and just thinking
'finally' I noticed the crack of dawn just shining now and that's when I saw Ashy glow?
the glowing spread which made me just stand there with my jaw dropped

The glowing eventually stopped and Ashy was human and I'm not going crazy I promise
HE LITERALLY TURNED INTO A HUMAN BOY
I almost screamed but held it in and breathed and lied next to him I analyzed him a bit and realized it was boy I saw on identification
I turned pink cheeked because I remember calling him cute
I mean I wasn't lying

I took a deep breath and calmed down I will talk to him tomorrow morning

~ 3rd Person POV ~
Once Gary woke up he just stared at Ash lightly taking the bang like hair out of Ash's eyes
Ash then woke up and blinked a couple times, and reached for his eyes and since he turned into a Pikachu he wasn't able to reach his eyes with his tiny paws but this time it was different he was able to, and Ash looked at his hand and sat up to see Gary staring at him
Ash jumped and scooted over away from him
"it's okay, I'm not mad" Gary smiled gently
Ash nodded not saying a word
"so how did this happen, you know you turning into a Pikachu?" Gary hugged his knees up to his chest level
Ash got a notepad and started writing it
"I'd like to hear it verbally if you don't mind" Gary smiled
"sorry" Ash said softly
"again it's okay, you weren't able to tell me when you were a Pikachu and I wouldn't be able to understand you" Gary smiled again Ash took a deep breath and started talking after explaining how he became a Pikachu Gary just let out a soft chuckle
"everyone knows about that girl, but since your a new trainer I don't blame you for not knowing"  Gary smiled understandably Ash nodded embarrassed and unsure
"so what's your dream?" Gary blinked interested
"not sure, I was just going to challenge a gym to win a badge but my whole reason for this journey was just to see the world and stuff" Ash shrugged looking at his nails
"oh that's nice" the auburn nodded
"you?" Ash looked at him
"you already know I'm a ranger, but I do part time researching, I really like learning about Pokémon and I want to know more and more" Gary smiled
"oh, that's nice" he smiled
"need a hug?" Gary extended his arms and smiled feeling sorry for
Ash about what happened

Ash nodded and they hugged Ash felt great in Gary's arms even when he was a Pikachu, Gary was a safe place to Ash and he didn't even know it
Ash felt like it was a good moment and pulled away and looked into Gary's green emerald eyes
their eyes met and Ash pulled Gary in for and pressed his lips softly and firmly just feeling the auburn's soft lips and just like that he gave him a soft kiss
Gary's eyes widened out of shock
that's when he pulled back shocked and touching his lip which was trembling
'I really got my first kiss and from Ashy?!?' he repeated to himself
"what was that?!?" Gary blurted out in shock
but instead his tone came out as if he was annoyed
"n-nothing" Ash gulped
now regretting his decision
"you call a kiss nothing?!?" Gary raised his voice which hurt Ash's feelings
"sorry!" he ran out of the room

Gary ran after him good thing no researchers were around they had all gone out for some Aerodactyl expedition which was good so no one would see the scene the two were gonna create "Ash wait! I'm sorry, I didn't mean to sound rude" Gary called out running down the stairs after Ash
he knew what he felt for Ash he knows that he loves him

The two got the bottom floor Ash ran out to the backyard of the lab Gary saw the opportunity and tackled Ash to the grass
Gary ended up flipping Ash so he was facing him and pinning him to the grass
"what do you want?!?" Ash said with tears wanting to well up in his eyes 
"I want to talk okay? I didn't mean to sound rude I was just shocked" Gary frowned
Ash held in tears and didn't want to look at Gary
"so listen" Gary began until Ash beat him to it
"you don't feel the same way I know, I'm just that stray Pikachu you found and that's all you see me as don't rub it in!" Ash bursted into tears
he was just embarrassed and felt like a total piece of garbage
Gary frowned and wiped his tears off of his face
"look, I do feel the same way" Gary sighed
"y-you do?" Ash calmed down.
