The huge, silver faced clock hanging above the roaring fireplace in Darkwood Academy's library ticked forward in a steady march.

    Tick... tock... tick.. tock...

Soraya and Rhys sat across from each other at a wooden table, both bent forward, browsing through several open books, desperately searching for any information on techniques for healing plants with Water Magic.

"We're no closer to finding answers now than we were last weekend," Rhys sighed and closed yet another book in defeat. It was Aquas Diem, the fourth day of the week. The botanist was scheduled to arrive the next day to inspect the plants Soraya had accidentally killed.

"Are you absolutely sure there's no Apollryük healing spell in Zinvi's diary?" Soraya asked nervously.

"Yeah, I scoured through the whole thing for that," her dearest friend murmured. He spun around to make sure everyone else was out of ear shot before speaking again. "You can only take other souls to heal yourself, not the other way around."

"That doesn't sound very Godslike to me," the girl frowned.

Perhaps, I am more of a demon than an angel... or goddess?

She shook her head to rid her mind of the thoughts and opened her mouth to ask Rhys about the other symbols he had seen while reading ahead, but caught herself. It's best to wait and read them while at the beach. I don't want any more incidents to happen at school.

"Maybe I should just try to wing it for healing the plants?" she suggested.

"Wing it?" Rhys' wine-colored eyes widened in surprise. "They would remember you casting Water Magic, and what if you kill more by accident?"

"We have to try something before tomorrow..." she whispered so faintly, Rhys strained to hear her. "We could fuse again to hide our identity and try using Water Magic together."

The Casmerahn boy looked up at the clock. It was the twentieth hour and fourteen minutes in. Bedtime wasn't until twenty-two o'clock. They were still allowed to leave the main building and roam about the campus grounds.

    "Okay, let's do it."

The two friends made their way out the front doors of the school. Both kept glancing over their shoulders to make sure they weren't being followed by anyone.

Ujuu and Moiya, thinking they were going on more dates together, were giving them time alone. Soraya felt pangs of guilt for staying out late all week and not seeing Yabo as much, but Moiya was thankfully babysitting him and giving her pet the pats and kisses he craved.

After entering the Orchestra room and making sure they were completely alone within the building, Soraya held Rhys' hands in her own.

    "Slevautza."
