The Killer Duo// Mattheo Riddle

Part 11

Emeralds POV

"ATTENTION, ATTENTION STUDENTS" the Great Hall settles down and silence filled the room.

"NOW THIS EVENING WE WILL BE HAVING A TRANSFER STUDENT JOINING US" people looked around, they were probably thinking who would transfer this late into the year.

"HE WILL BE JOINING 6th YEARS" Dumbledore announced, come on I'm hungry. Dumbledore looked at me and went into my mind, Emerald, you'll be showing him around, I shook my head to him and he carried on. Not long the Great Hall doors opened and in stumbled, Miles Bletchley. This guy is the clumsiest boy I've ever seen, I smiled at his goofiness and when he met my eyes he blushed.

"Bletchley, Miles" Professor McGonagall announced as Miles walked up to the stool and sat down. As soon as the head touched him the hat said,

"SLYTHERIN!" He walked over to the table and I made room for him to sit by me.

"Honestly, I'm surprised you didn't get placed into Hufflepuff by your clumsiness," I said to him as food appeared on the table.

"This is my first real school" he announced suddenly

"Really?" I said as I ate a turkey leg

"Yes," he said then started eating

"I'm showing you around by the way"

"How do you know?"

"Dumbledore," I said than finished my food. When dinner was over we stood up and made our way out of the Great Hall. After I showed him everything I made my way to the common room.

"Aaahhh she's finally arrived," said a voice that I knew, Riddle

"Who's this?" Miles whispered in my ear

"My worst enemy," I said out loud

"She's my girlfriend," said Mattheo as he grabbed my waist and pulled me close, Miles looked at me then walked off.

"What was that?" I said as I pushed off Mattheo

"You can't have no distractions," he said as he went to the sofa and picked up a book

"He isn't a distraction," I said as I followed him to the sofa

"He has feelings for you"

"I've only known him for 10 hours, and what if I do have feelings for him"

"Then your stupid"

"I'm not stupid, your stupid"

"Don't call me stupid" he mumbled

"I can call you whatever you want," I said then walked off but a hand grabbed me by my wrist

"Remember what happened last time, you trusted someone"

"I knew he was going to do that, it was my task to watch him" I snatched my wrist from him and walked off.

I woke up the next morning and headed down to breakfast. I saw Miles sitting at the end of the table and walked to him. He looked up at me then looked back at his food. I sat down across from him,

"Look, Riddle isn't my boyfriend, he's the last human being I would even think about"

"Really?"

"Yeah, I haven't even dated nobody or even kissed anyone" I chuckled as he looked up at me, then smiled.

"You know, I wasn't mad I just wanted to see if you would apologize" he smiled

"Starting to see why you're in Slytherin, Bletchley" I smiled as he chuckled.
